๐๐ง๐๐ฌ: What's the most unusual thing you've ever eaten?
Re: Group 2 (Sept. 16-30) check-in week of 3/7
Rave: I have lived in Western Australia for the last 2 years & we have had some of the strictest border controls in the world. You haven't been able to come to the state from another Australian state, even if you are originally from here, since July last year. They have police checks at the only 3 roads in/out & at every airport. Anyway, our border FINALLY opened so I have booked a one way ticket to my parents' house. We are working from home so I've told my boss I will be working from home in a different state. The best part of this all is that I haven't told my parents that I'm coming. I am SO excited!!
When I was in Japan I once ate raw horse meat. It's probably up there with the weirdest things I've eaten. I've also eaten snails (which I don't think is that weird) and something unusual is traditional damper which is dough wrapped in leaves & buried in the hot ground around a fire for a few hours to cook it.
honestly I tend to eat fairly adventurously but I really canโt think of anything that unusual. Iโm sure itโs probably something sushi/seafood related since the restaurant we go to loves to have us try their new stuff sometimes since we would go so often but I canโt think of anything in particular.

@dsmith211 I bought this one and I really like it!ย
Some complicated chromosomal stuff going on - our fingers are crossed, but this may not go according to plan!

Hope that nausea eases up soon @dsmith211. I have a pregnancy pillow like this one at the moment that I really like, but I do miss my pillow.ย

During my last pregnancy I had one like this which I also liked, and I just put a pillow behind my back to stop me rolling onto my back towards the end of the pregnancy. It might be suitable for you @jhysmathhttps://www.babybunting.com.au/product/bambi-baby-body-pillow-with-pillow-case-67154
@ashley35209 could you do a treasure hunt & at the end it's a box/present with a photo of your ultrasound or something else inside it to represent pregnancy, then you could use coloured paper that represents the gender?
@ashking0922 what's the law/company policy around disclosing pregnancy? I have applied for a job & I am not telling them because I don't want it to impact on my chance of getting the job (even though legally they cannot discriminate against me for this, they can always use a different excuse) and my company policy says I don't need to let them know until 10 weeks before I intend to start maternity leave.
I'm not too adventurous with my food, so maybe squid or turtle? I am not a fan of the texture of either.ย
I noticed you haven't stopped by the introduction thread. Are you able to pop a little intro in there about who you are so we can get to know @roxyurban6
Edit because I tagged the wrong person
Dirt. Cousin said it was chocolate. She ate some too.ย
it's first time mom, second time mom, and third time or more mom

Also, tomorrow (Sunday) we are telling some family friends and having a barbecue, I just told my siblings and my mormor (maternal grandma), and I will be sharing with my coworkers in two weeks, after spring break. Theyโre all worried about me because I was out at least weekly ๐ until these last two weeks. If I didnโt sleep well, I couldnโt make it through workโฆ or being upright.
Finally, I can finally relate to this pregnancy. Especially seeing our little bugger jumping several times. That felt really good.
Otherwiseโฆ blood pudding, smoked codโs roe in a tube, cream cheese with shrimp/crab/crawfish in a tube.
Because my mother eats it every year, I had the dubious pleasure of smelling FERMENTED HERRING (surstrรถmming) up close once. If you can handle other people retching, definitely watch โAmericans try fermented herringโon YouTube. Also the time Tosh.0 opened a can on set.
just the thought of the fermented herring makes me want to hurl.

Where in Sweden are you living? I lived in Lappis (Norra Djurgรฅrden, near Stockholms Universitetet) when I lived there - 10 years ago this year!ย
I am from Sweden (born, raised, all that), but I no longer live there. I moved to Oregon, USA permanently in May 2014.
I grew up in Hallsberg and moved to รrebro when I was 12. My sister, her sons, and my parents live in ร tvidaberg, my brother lives in Sevilla, Spain. I have family in Lidingรถ (Stockholm), Gothenburg, Ockelbo, Torsby, and a few places Iโm definitely forgetting about. All places I miss dearly but I am very happy in Oregon.ย
I was going to go back this summer, but Iโll be way too pregnant for us to be comfortable with me going. Ugh. Maybe weโll go for the winter holidays this time.
