Anemia during Pregnancy

Currently on my 21st wk, been diagnosed with Anemia for the first time in my life. Doc has put me on Iron and B12 complements. Anybody else going thru this? Wondering how this will impact my pregnancy.

    @knottie I was anemic with my first pregnancy and my 5th pregnancy and was also prescribed iron pills and B12, but I admit I did not take them because they made me constipated and I hated that feeling more than the feeling of being anemic, which didn’t really feel like anything other than I had a STRONG STRONG STRONG overpowering craving for ICE with both of those pregnancies. Like I would eat ice all day and night. I’d make my husband go to Sonic and just get me cups of ice to eat because rhey have the best ice. Seriously it was insane the amount of ice I ate all the way up until I delivered and my doctor said that craving is caused by anemia.

    @oli9 Thanks for sharing your experience. :) It’s weird that I don’t have any symptoms yet! But I will keep Sonic in mind…lol!

    Me!!! But I've always been borderline anemic. They have started me on iron every other day and they ran more blood tests to see specifics regarding my anemia.
