Does anyone else's DH get PG symptoms?

Apparently I'm not the only pregnant party in this house...

>> DH told me that I need to take my "heightened emotions" back, lol. This morning he was listening to music and a song came on called "I loved her first." Apparently it's about a dad giving his daughter away at her wedding. DH said he cried.

>> Pregnancy brain is in full swing. He's forgetting everything and tried to put the salt in the fridge tonight.

>> He's also been struck by a suddenly insatiable appetite. He wants all the food all the time. And then some more.

>> Feeling fatigue like WHOA. He's tired and exhausted all the time. Poor guy.

I told him tonight that having two pregnant people in the house was going to be interesting, hahaha. Or, it WAS hahaha until he looked offended and basically asked why I said people instead of women and am I using the right term because only women can have babies and WHY ARE WE HAVING THIS CONVERSATION, DH, AND WHY ARE YOU BEING SO SENSITIVE.

Thank God we can laugh at ourselves, at least. Guess that's one perk of doing this when you're old as balls (a.k.a. "geriatric"). We're both 42 and this will be our first. I'm 3w4d.

We had three early losses last year and the only symptom he had with those was a psychotic addiction to blueberries. The man was eating 1-3 pounds of frozen blueberries a day. I wish I were joking...

One nice thing about all these symptoms he's having is that when he has them, mine seem a little less intense. Not gonna lie - it's great.

So does your spouse get symptoms, too? What are they?

  • My spouse didn’t act any different. He did have bad stomach pains when I was laboring. But maybe that was the subway sandwich he let sit out 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • Loading the player...
  • lol this is great! I was just joking w hubby this morning about a symptom he complained about having (not even knowing it was a common pregnancy complaint)... but of course now I can't remember what symptom it was... is this pregnancy brain?! 🤣
  • @greyl, that's friggin' hilarious. I hope you rubbed his back.

    @kcardonl, 100% my friend. 100%.
