A little background in the spoiler (*TW loss)
My first pregnancy was in 2014 and was unintentional as I was on BC. Unfortunately that ended in a MMC. After that we were NTNP for a year before I got pregnant again, this time resulting in my son, born at 39+5 and healthy as can be thankfully. I’ve had an IUD since then and up until recently thought we were one and done. Now we’ve decided to try for one more! Unlike in the past I plan to track and time what I can to expedite the process and also because even though we weren’t actively trying when I had my son we were having lots of sex and it still took a full year. Between that and my previous MC and some paranoia that having my IUD so long will have affected my chances (I didn’t think this but some people have made me question it) I am a little…scared I guess.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
I have a 5yo son, a 9yo chihuahua mix, a 1.5yo lab/heeler mix, an 11yo massive tuxedo cat, and 3 rats. My husband and I have been together for 15 years, married for nearly 10. I am not currently working, I left my job in the craziness of COVID and am working on a data analytics certificate with the intent of a career change.
Hobbies…I love books. I collect them, I read as much as I can, when I can’t curl up with a book I listen to audiobooks obsessively (I’ve finished 25 books this year already!). I also love to paint, craft, roller skate, bake, read tarot, and play with my dogs as much as I can. I am also a big science nerd and a huge true crime fan.
Anyhow, best of luck to everyone! Thanks for having me
@mamafox14 welcome! I had an IUD for about 8 years prior to starting to TTC. For some women (like myself) it takes a few months for their cycle to regulate, but for others there's no real down time at all. For me it took 4 months for my cycle to come back and get regular, but it's been very regular since then. I hope that yours will be very smooth!! Also, I love books too!
@acleverusername haha yeah my audiobook consumption has been a little nuts so far this year. I've gotten into the habit of listening on my walk home from dropping my son off at school and then a lot of days I'll just keep it going all day while I clean, do homework, etc.
