How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? they're going, I feel less emotionally all over the place. I am looking forward to my OB f/u Weds and then my second therapy session Thurs. **TW LC** my parents took our daughter for the weekend and we got to have 48 hours of adult time, went out to eat, naps, reading, just a really well needed and good recharge**END TW**

Any testing coming up/any recent results? still waiting on my RPL testing, did the bloodwork Thurs and it's all showing as pending in Quest's portal

    Questions? natm

GTKY: What is something small but wonderful that your SO or a friend does for you that makes you happy? typically one morning each weekend I get to sleep in, and it is the best.

  • @anniemarie887 I hope the therapy is going well. I still need to find a new therapist, it was so beneficial and I really need that back. Also, it sounds like such a nice weekend!! I'm so glad you had that time.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well?: I shared about this in today's WTO thread, but her birthday was this weekend. It was really hard, even more so leading up to the actual day. Her birthday was very sweet though, all our family came together to celebrate her the best we could. I miss her tremendously.
I also noticed that sometimes I just have a hard time posting in this thread which is why I'm not here too often. It tends to feel like a very blatant reminder that my daughter isn't here, but other times (less often) it's helpful. So don't mind me popping in and out of here like this!

Any testing coming up/any recent results?: None

    Questions?: Nope

GTKY: What is something small but wonderful that your SO or a friend does for you that makes you happy?: MH has been really good at trying to take things off my plate when I'm stressed, and I'm so thankful. He's also an amazing gift giver and got me the most thoughtful gift for Valentine's Day.
  • @annanbby I'm so sorry that you had to go through that milestone, but I am glad that you and your family were able to make it a meaningful celebration. No need to explain, loss is hard, and we all know that you have to do what is best for you, whatever that looks like. You can always share whenever you feel like doing so <3

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well?  I had CD 3 blood work and everything was... Normal! Which is unheard of for me, my liver function isn't great usually.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? All hormone levels came back normal. SHG is Thursday and then more bloodwork and then more bloodwork when insurance is approved

    Questions? Can I go here?

GTKY: What is something small but wonderful that your SO or a friend does for you that makes you happy? My best friend just seems to know when I need her, she sends gifs or love or surprises just when I need them. DH, I love him but he just isn't great at little things.

  • @mambo5-2 you're welcome to share here whenever you feel like doing so!
  • @annanbby The lead up is definitely harder I think. I was a mess the whole month leading up to my son's 1st bday. The actual day turned out to be really nice with family all gathering and spending the day with us. We celebrated it just like we do anyone else's bday.

@anniemarie887 that image sums it up perfectly.

@mambo5-2 isn't it annoying when everything comes back normal? lol like find something wrong please.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? Things are going well. I decided last Monday that I'm going to try and be happier. Even with all my grief I want to choose to be happy. I've been so sad for the past year and a half.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Still waiting for lab results for my recent loss to see if they can connect it with my late pregnancy loss.

Questions? For those who had a natural MC, how long did it take for your HCG levels to zero out? I finally got a neg pregnancy test yesterday which is exciting in a weird way. Took about 3 weeks.

GTKY: What is something small but wonderful that your SO or a friend does for you that makes you happy? We're really good at reading each others moods, and he knows how to step in when I need backup or a little extra help.

  • @bbrahmbhatt thank you, me too. Our family is so supportive and they miss our girl so much too.

@anniemarie887 Yes I've seen something that before, and it's sooo accurate. I definitely don't feel like the grief has gotten smaller but just that I've grown around it.

@mambo5-2 thank you, and so great to hear you're bloodwork came back looking good! I'm sure it's confusing at the same time though?

@bearmomma1 It really is so awful leading up to it. I found myself breaking down and crying at the most random times. I love that your family celebrated like any other birthday. Our family, especially MH's, is very similar. It's like completely expected that we would have a party. They were all making sure they had the day off before I even said what I wanted to do. The support is just so great.

  • @bearmomma1 my CP was pretty quick. two weeks. I have not had HCG checked post D&C.
  • @anniemarie887 I’m so glad you got that weekend time! That is such a nice healing option (along with the therapy).

@annanbby Certainly feel free to drop by the thread only when you feel like it! We’re happy to have you any time.

@mambo5-2 Glad your CD3 bloodwork came back normal!

@bearmomma1 Love your positivity and I hope that you feel some happiness and contentment in the coming days. With my MMC it took about a month for my hcg to zero out.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well? I am officially moving on to an RE later this spring and I have a lot of feelings about it. I am thankful the option exists and that I still have the possibility of a healthy pregnancy, but I also am scared to take what feels like a big next step and leave the comfort zone of denial that nothing is wrong and everything will be fine.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? I had CD3 bloodwork last week (normal results) and had blood drawn for a full thyroid panel this morning.

    Questions? Not today

GTKY: What is something small but wonderful that your SO or a friend does for you that makes you happy? Loading/unloading the dishwasher is my job according to our chore breakdown, but sometimes DH will do it for me and it just always makes me smile a little.

  • @mambo5-2 i think i said in another post, but now i'm second guessing?! glad your initial labs are good!
@abjm0325 also glad your cd3 is good! hope thryoid the same!

  • @mambo5-2 interesting! I’ve heard the opposite that d&c should zero out Hcg faster.

@abjm0325 I love when DH does something I’m usually in charge of. I try to do take on one of his tasks every now and then as well

Hi everyone, I'm 29 and had my first pregnancy and MC in early January. It was our first try, got pregnant in November, and then found out we had a  MMC at 9 weeks. No diagnosed conditions. It was a horrible experience with the NP we saw for the US, then a lack of testing, communication, etc. I then had to wait another week for the D&C. Everything is done now though, I have healed.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with and/or what is going well?
Things are going well for the most part. I try to stay positive through all the baby posts and pregnancy announcements of friends and people on my social media feeds. At times it's hard to not think of what could have been. What is going well is that I'm still finding the positives in the situation and feeling like I'm mentally in a good place with the situation.

Any testing coming up/any recent results?
    None.
    Questions? Not at the moment.

GTKY: What is something small but wonderful that your SO or a friend does for you that makes you happy?
We had a really good friend bring us dinner the night of my D&C recently. I can't express the healing power of a good meal brought by a friend.

@bearmomma1 had my f/u today. I didn’t ask, but my OB didn’t suggest running HCG again. She said I should have a cycle within 3 mos, and if not to call. And that typically the farther along you are the longer it takes. My BFF was 8-10w when hers happened and said AF was back within 5 weeks. My d&c had barely any bleeding compared to my 5w loss. That was a lot.

@wunderkai I’m sorry you are here and for your experience. These are absolutely the moments Drs need to shine in the compassion dept.
  • @anniemarie887 I was going to ask how your F/u went but I read in the IF. My RE didn’t order labs for HCG either, and told me to wait until my next period to start trying again. I texted my regular OB asking what her opinion was on waiting and she said she doesn’t usually recommend waiting unless we want to. So I’ve taken her advice as I liked it better :)

  • @bearmomma1 I know the reasoning is because of tracking. Honestly at this point I have a solid clue when I’m ovulating based CM (confirmed with temping and OPKs too) and I don’t think I have at this point at all. My chart looks like I’m climbing the Patagonia mountain range. 🥴 I totally get your decision making!
  • @anniemarie887 I tested out my Hcg and have now started OPKs. Maybe our cycles will be similar since your d&c and my mc we’re at the same time, so I’ll let you know when I get a positive OPK! 🤣
