Insomnia

Hi all! 
Is anyone else having insomnia? I wake up between 2:30-3:00am and have the absolute hardest time going back to sleep. I’ve tried Unisom when I really need help, I still wake up but I’m able to go back to sleep on it. I just don’t want to take it regularly. 
Any tips?

  • Same on the solidarity front. I take unisom every day but I don’t know that it helps. Then I swing the other way and worry how bad it would be if I didn’t take it. 
  • I am team unisom! Even before pregnancy I had to take it every night. Maybe ask your OB for suggestions?
  • I used to do ZzzQuil before getting pregnant. Feels like baby likes dancing around 4am most mornings. So I get up to use the restroom, eat a hard boiled egg and fill up my water bottle. Sometimes I can go to sleep right after and sometimes I just feel uncomfortable and awake for HOURS! I haven't tried unisom yet. Perhaps I'll give it a try. 
  • Same here, often wake up (hoping when I check the clock it’s at least 5am - and if so I’ll just get up) and it’s almost always around 2:30/3am. Sometimes I can drift right back after a pee and some water but other times it’s wide awake for HOURS. So annoying!

    Then of course, I’m an anxious zombie who is struggling to keep it together for work and life in general the following day. I feel your pain!!
  • Yes, and I used to lay in bed miserably, but now I get up and have a small snack and read until I fall back asleep. It takes the same amount of time to get back to sleep but is infinitely more pleasant.
