Twins and Multiples

Hi everyone! 
My husband and I found out that we're having twins a few days ago. I didn't see a board dedicated to twins and multiples, so I thought I'd start one. 
This is our first pregnancy, and morning sickness has been truly awful since week 5 (I'm 8.5 weeks now). I'm lucky if I only get sick once a day. My nurse practitioner prescribed diclectin, so my nausea is mostly gone. Just lots of sickness. 
We're about to tell my immediate family tomorrow! We've only told doctors about the pregnancy so far. I wanted to have an ultrasound before telling anyone else. 
With me not feeling great and my lower belly already quite round, it's getting harder to hide!

I'd love to hear how any of you are feeling, whether it's your first, who you've told, anything you feel like sharing!

    Congratulations!  Do you know if they're identical or fraternal yet?  So far, we have at least two other sets of twin mothers who have posted at least once on this board, but many folk haven't had their dating scan yet, so there may end up being more.
    Current pregnancy -
    First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

    Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

    Thank you! :) That's great! I'm not alone lol. 
    Not yet - we just had our dating ultrasound last week. We were told with twins that all of our testing and ultrasounds need to be at the hospital going forward instead of our local clinic. We should find out if they're identical or fraternal with our 12 week ultrasound and blood tests. 
    We've been googling and comparing our ultrasound photos, but that hasn't been helpful lol.

    At my 6 week scan they discovered di/di twins with strong heartbeats. They sent me immediately to the MFM and I saw them again at 7 weeks. I’m now 10+4 and go back to the MFM tomorrow for a scan. A little anxious about vanishing twin syndrome but trying to stay positive!

    Hey Mamas! We just found out this week we are pregnant with twins! We are still getting over the shock and working on getting excited! Hahaha I have been throwing up multiple times a day since 5.5 weeks and will be 9 weeks tomorrow! My ob is supposed to be prescribing a med to help with the nausea I am hoping it works!

    *lurking from July BMB*

    Just wanted to pop on here since there isn't *usually* a dedicated multiples board in each BMB and say hi! I'm 16w and change with di/di twins that were spontaneous and very unexpected. I've gone through the ringer emotionally as I have come to terms with this but am now coming around. If any of you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask away since I'm a bit further along!

    Just found out at my first OB appointment yesterday that we have spontaneous di/di twins! No twins in either family. We are totally shocked, also delighted. The OB asked my dumbstruck husband what he thought and after a pause he said “bring it on!”; I wish I felt so positive! Overwhelmed is my predominant feeling. Glad to have you all to go through it with!
