Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Monday 2/14 Valentine's Edition!

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

  • Month/Cycle: 16/14

    CD: 4

WAYDTGKU: IUI with letrozole and trigger

R/R: I just discovered there's no classes next Monday for Presidents' Day, which I'm super excited about because Mondays are my longest day. In the meantime, hunkering down for an 11-hour day today. I'm catching up on the note transcribing and homework that I fell behind on last week though, so that's good.

    CS/Q: nope

  • @fantasyflyte Yay for a day off from classes soon!

    Month/Cycle: 6/6 AL

    CD: 6

    WAYDTGKU: OPKs, vitamins, progesterone

R/R: We had a major plumbing issue yesterday which has consumed my time (and is soon to consume my wallet). Days like that are when I hate being a homeowner. On the bright side, my boss brought in cookies for Valentine's Day so I am enjoying a cookie with my morning coffee. Happy Valentine's Day!

CS/Q: I'm going to put my CD 3 data in the questions thread if anyone wants to take a look and chime in.

WAYDTGKU: Temping, OPKs, less drinking  :#

R/R: Super crabby mood today. Just frustrated at everything. Excited to celebrate Valentine's later!

CS/Q: Wondering if anyone notices differences in temps after a night of drinking? This weekend I had a couple of glasses of wine and it spiked, then dropped pretty significantly the next day. I definitely enjoy a spiked seltzer at the end of the day but I'm going to make a concerted effort during the week not to so my temps can normalize.

@fantasyflyte yay for unexpected days off! What grade/subject do you teach? DH is a high school science teacher :)

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 25

    WAYDTGKU: OPK, CM, tracking

R/R: No specific rant, just crabby. I ate a lot of superbowl food and feel majorly bloated, so that's always fun on  a Monday haha

    CS/Q: NATM
  • @bbrahmbhatt I'm a student going back to school for a second degree/career change :# I'm studying meteorology (weather).
@abjm0325 boo plumbing issues but yay cookies!
@mrsmtothek I don't drink myself, but I've seen others mention a higher-than-normal temp the day after drinking.
  • @mrsmtothek Sorry about the crabby mood! Hopefully it will turn around soon. Just an FYI, we try not to mention children in the WTO/TWW unless necessary (and then using a spoiler). You're welcome to chat about kids in TFAS!

@bbrahmbhatt Ah, the Superbowl food that is delicious but then haunts us the next day.  :)

R/R: My So decided this morning he wanted to take me out to dinner....there was nothing open so I put in a few wait list requests and got a reservation at a place I haven't been to yet. I'm happy bc I don't have to pay or cook. Even though I have a roast in the crockpot I didn't really want to eat it so it'll be his lunch for the week.  I also sketched him our great dane for his card and I'm pretty proud of it.

  • @fantasyflyte yay for no school, and I think that is a great career change!

@abjm0325 that is my fear...I can fix pretty much everything but water issues.

@mrsmtothek I don't temp otherwise I'd have input. I do need to slow my drinking on the weekends.

  • @fantasyflyte yay for no classes! I'm excited for the extra day off, too. It'll be really nice.

@abjm0325 I love when people bring in snacks haha occasionally our office kitchen will be stocked with free snacks to take, which is always fun. So sorry about the plumbing issues!

@mrsmtothek I don't drink, but I've seen others mention some rocky temps after drinking.

bbrahmbhatt Super Bowl food is always SO good. I missed that yesterday! But the after effects can sometimes be a bummer haha

caseys02 how sweet! I hope you guys have a nice dinner tonight!

R/R: Oh man, it's been a little while. Sorry for my disappearance. It's been a rough month so far. I'll leave that in a spoiler. I feel like I'm doing a little better though, and excited that O should be coming up soon. After skipping last month, it feels like ages since we were TTC even though it was just since December lol

    TW for loss

My daughter's first birthday was this weekend. Our families all came together and we spent time with her where she's buried, I made her a cake, we all wrote some notes on balloons and released them to her (my 5 year old niece started that tradition and we thought it was such a sweet idea, so we've continued to do it for special occasions). Something I'm learning is that leading up to these milestones/holidays/etc. is almost harder than the actual day itself. I feel a little lighter now that it's passed, but gosh, I miss her so much.
CS/Q: Some rocky temps, but nothing new lol we're still getting up during the night with our puppy, so I think it's throwing things off a little for me.
  • @caseys02 Hope you have a wonderful dinner!
@annanbby Sending you lots of hugs for that tough holiday. So glad you are feeling a little lighter now and that you had sweet times with family.
  • @annanbby big hugs momma. I concur the buildup is the worst. It's always what are you doing, like we need to have a set plan when all the plans are thrown away to the wind. I chose to do something that makes me feel closer to my daughter and help my soul not be as sad.  My SIL and nephews make a cake and sing happy Birthday and FaceTime me. You do what you feels best as a mother during these days. But the buildup to the angelvirsary qnd birthdays are always so very very hard.
