Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Wednesday 2/9

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

Re: TWW Wednesday 2/9

  • Month/Cycle: 6/5 AL

    CD/DPO: 28/14

    Timing: doesn't matter

Typical LP length: hopefully over soon

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: I had a call into my midwife's office on Monday to schedule an appointment to begin discussing *wild hand gesture* all the things. They didn't call me back. Phones on Tuesday went straight to voicemail. I sent a portal message. No response. I hadn't been thrilled by my care with everything that has happened this year, so this was the final straw. I called this morning and made an appointment at a new clinic with an OB who specializes in fertility. I can't get in until the beginning of April, but I feel good about the switch and am hopeful about moving to a new practice. I also started doing some initial checking on our fertility clinic in town and it doesn't appear to have a lengthy wait at the moment for a consult, so I'm going to meet with this new OB first, I think.

    CS/Q: Nope

  • @abjm0325 ugh, I'm sorry the midwife's office was crap. Sounds like you're well rid of them though if they can't be bothered to pay attention enough to return a call. I hope the new OB is good!

    Month/Cycle: 16/13

    CD/DPO: 27/9

    Timing: O-3, O-2, O-1

    Typical LP length: 11 days

    Testing: Friday

R/R: hump day! And it's almost like I'm off today because I'm only on campus until 12:30, woo! This afternoon is going to be a weird combo of happy/sad/reminiscing. I've dabbled a lot in genealogy over the years, and 10 years ago, I went to my grandmother's house and recorded myself sitting with her while she told stories from her childhood and visiting Ireland as a kid. She passed in 2015. The other day, I was looking for something else on my computer when I stumbled on the audio recordings, which I'd previously been unable to figure out where I'd stored them. I'm bringing the computer to my mom's house this afternoon to listen to them with her. (I may or may not be holding out hope that stumbling on these recordings at the start of my TWW is a sign from my grandmother that she's watching over us this cycle but hey whatever works to support the hope fortress amirite?).

CS/Q: nothing exciting. Not loving my temps but nothing I can do about that.

  • @abjm0325 I'm sorry your midwife clinic is being such a blocker. I'm glad you're feeling good about the switch and possibly even finding an RE sooner.

@fantasyflyte enjoy that special time with your mom; I sure hope it's a good omen for this TWW.

    Month/Cycle: 25/19/2AL

    CD/DPO: 19/6

    Timing: -1, O, +1

Typical LP length: 16 days on progesterone

Testing: gonna start at 8DPO... cause I can

R/R: I have meetings from 9am-6:30pm today, with only a 15 min break. Plus my lunch hour. Yay me. It's calibration time at work, and this is my first time as a manager going through these and it's both eye-opening and a time drain. Sigh. Oh well, I've chosen the management path. On the other hand, I had a 1:1 with one of my new direct reports yesterday, and he asked me how long I've been a manager to which I replied "since Nov" and he was surprised since I was really good at it. Gave me all kinds of fuzzies.

    CS/Q: Nah.
