No totally pregnancy-related but: My husband's uncle (more like his grandfather) is going into hospice. We can't really travel back but I want to do something for his mom. I don't know what to do. Food is basically off the table because the woman eats like a bird and I honestly don't even know where to send from. She moved since we've been to visit. Any ideas?

Flowers are always a good go-to. Or maybe a painting of the two of them, made from a photograph? Or a photo blanket? @tuxielove93
  • @tuxielove93 oh that’s awful I’m so sorry! For a similar situation we did a hamper with self care items like flowers, wine, bubble bath, lavender pillow spray, gift cards for food delivery and a cosy throw things like that so they didn’t have to worry about food and could get a little bit of self care
  • Is anyone else struggling to put together a registry? Our youngest babe is 5 and we don’t have any of our old baby gear at all so we are starting over completely and it feels overwhelming even though I’ve been there done that.
  • @bearsandbeets7 I'm totally avoiding it! I hate stuff. We have a lot of friends and family with babies and toddlers who have offered things. So I need to figure out what we can get for free first. This might involve an excel spreadsheet now that I think about it...🧐
  • @bearsandbeets7 I still have everything but as I’m pulling stuff out I’m realizing it’s not in that great of shape 😕 And now idk if we should get new stuff for the last baby. Or deal with having heavily used stuff. And I feel guilty both ways 😬

  • I don’t know whether I’m just being grumpy bc my mil has been irritating me or if I have a right to be annoyed by this so I’m outsourcing.

My SIL has her hen do next month and we’re doing like 90’s throwback fancy dress one night. I wrote on the chat asking if anyone had any suggestions for ideas for me bc all I can think of is a slightly larger britney spears and my MIL commented on it suggesting Teletubbies! Like they’re large round alien things who often can’t stand up when they fall bc they’re so round, I’ll attach a photo for reference

  • @bearsandbeets7 I’ve been watching YouTube videos for what people bought for their newborn and anything that looks good I add to my registry/ spreadsheet
  • @rosegoldg What is a hen do? And do you have to be a specific character? But also WHO TELLS ANYONE TO BE A TELLATUBBY. I'd be furious. Not cool.

  • @rosegoldg That is pretty rude. Maybe a Scooby Doo character though? Daphne or Velma? Or Sabrina the teenage witch and take a stuffed black cat as Salem!
  • @tuxielove93 it’s a bachelorette party. And yes, @rosegoldg I’d be pissed too, why would you want to dress like that at any sort of costume party even if you’re pregnant?!
  • That GIF is totally the same face as my son after he had pop for the first time. I almost always drink water so he must have expected water but OMG was it the best face!
    Our Journey:

    1/19- IVF #2
8/19- DE Cycle #1- 5 PGS tested normal

  • My youngest has a stomach bug. How do my kids get sick on the weeks we go absolutely nowhere!? This was the first night I was supposed to go out without the kids since getting pregnant. It’s not even “reschedulable” it was an event with my local mom group.
Plus all he wants is milk and 1) I don’t have that much and 2) my nipples are absolutely killing me

it’s gonna be a long weekend.
