Negative ultrasound??

in 1st Trimester
Hi I went for a check up..one week after having a lighter/irregular period and got this scan. Any opinions on what the black circle could be?

    You had an US due to a light period? Did you have a positive pregnancy test, urine or blood?

    I had a faint positive on clearblue early 14dpo then started spotting for 4 days 1 day bleeding enough to fill a pad in 5hrs not as heavy as normal. 
    Yesterday I had some brown discharge and decided to go for a private ultrasound to check for abnormalities. (cysts ect) If I am pregnant this puts me at 5 weeks 5 days.

    You’re likely too early to see anything on US, especially if they did an abdominal US. Call your doctor if you have questions like that in the future. You wasted your money if you paid out of pocket for a 5wk abdominal scan. They do transvaginal until like 10-12 weeks.

    Thank you! I know. It was transvaginal. I will call the doc on Monday.

    @meggyme they said it's cervical mucus! Maybe at 5 weeks it will be missed
