I just got called by a colleague to cover her block during my prep because her son's school is sending him home again. The kid has documented allergies and is in kindergarten. They won't let him be at school with a runny nose and sneezing. He was out for 2 weeks because of a cold. Even though he tested negative multiple times. I don't know if I'm more pissed I've lost my prep, or the fact that his school is doing this again.
Our school tests the kids and sends them back to class if they're negative. I'm done with all this covid shit.
DS is cutting his last 4 teeth all at the same time now. He’s uncomfortable and the excessive saliva is giving him diarrhea. I didn’t even try to send him to daycare today because they send the kids home after 1 diarrhea diaper so I wasn’t going to drive there when I knew I’d get the call.
My MBF is that they should understand that teething can cause this and take that into consideration rather than just send them home!
They used to be more understanding but COVID has changed a lot of that. So, I guess like @jhysmath said “I'm done with all this covid shit.”
