The only place outside of WA we would consider is Luxembourg- I have dual citizenship there and its gorgeous! We're thinking of spending 6 months there in a few years.
I really love where I live, but I would also love to live out in Wyoming or somewhere and live the ranch lifestyle! OR there's a small town here in SC on the coast that we visit a lot and have considered moving to, if it weren't for free childcare from our family.
We have a property in western NY where we spend the summer that's 100 acres (mostly wood) that I'm looking forward to growing a garden, animals and my children one day.

I live in New England and the perpetual gray of the winter wears on me…
I hear you with winters and the SADs. We're in Minnesota and the winters get LONG!
We took our family on a trip to Aruba over the holidays this year and my husband and I decided that's where we would like to retire. 85 degrees and sunny all year is fine with me! But until then, I really don't want to move ever again. We lived in our last house for 10 years and just moved last summer. I don't know how folks do that regularly! Much respect, it must force people to be super organized!!
