Nontraditional Mommas (LGBTQ, NCM, poly, single moms) - February

For those of us with no DH, a DW, or multiple DXs!

Based on the intros, there are enough of us here that I thought we should have our own thread!  Questions, comments, concerns, about your pregnancy as it relates to your non-traditional family.
Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

    Thanks for starting this! Always great to hear non-traditional perspectives. You never know what you don’t know until you know it :)
     First time mom here and the baby will have two moms! The only difference I’ve noticed thus far is having to have science help ( IVF). Because I was taking meds during the holidays our families all know we were going through the process so we are in this tough stage of not wanting to tell people too quickly but also them asking… constantly. I guess it’s a good problem to have.

    Welcome @wjinmass!  I'm a pansexual (lesbian-leaning) CNM practitioner.  Baby's father and I are not in a relationship but live together in a co-parenting arrangement.  We have had three prior losses (two first trimester, one extreme premature birth), so I'm not planning on telling anyone until probably end of first trimester.
    Current pregnancy -

    Hello! Sorry to hear of your prior losses and I appreciate you sharing. This perspective is exactly why we are a little hesitant to share the good news. We will most likely wait until 10+ weeks and might hold of the family with some comments of “still in process” in the meantime :).
