  • Weeks/EDD? 6 weeks/September 22

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? I had a MMC and D&C in August 2021.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I’m not the biggest fan of this limbo period (who is?). I only had about a week and a half of morning sickness with my DD and never threw up, so I’m trying to reassure myself that mild, inconsistent nausea is okay.

Any appointment updates? Not until February 7th for my first ultrasound. It feels so far away, but I want this little bean to grow enough to see if everything is healthy.

Any big milestones? No. With a MMC you don’t really get to know there’s a problem until the ultrasound.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Rave: DD and I had fun at the library for toddler time. Rant: I was surprised at the number of adults who were not wearing masks. Poor Madeleine and I kept scooting farther and farther away. 😂
Question: Since we are considered high risk pregnancies, what extra precautions do you take? Not necessarily related just to the pandemic.

  • Weeks/EDD? 6+6. EDD 9/16

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 2 very early mc over 10 years ago. Most recent miscarriage at 14+6 in October. Unfortunately this one was very traumatic and I delivered very unexpectedly at home.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Emotionally exhausted and physically fine which is causing so much worry. The previous pregnancy I was so nauseous and my breasts were very tender. This time I barely feel pregnant at all. I keep trying to tell myself that every pregnancy is different but PGAL brain is difficult. I also had 5 days of spotting this week and that did nothing for my anxiety.

Any appointment updates? First appt 2/10 and the wait is painful. I wish they would have let me come in earlier though I doubt it would make a difference. We saw a healthy heartbeat multiple times last pregnancy so I doubt seeing a heartbeat is going to take away all my worry.

    Any big milestones? None.

    Rants/Raves/Questions? None.

  • Weeks/EDD? 7+1, 9/14 (not confirmed yet)

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? It's in the spoiler in my signature.  Short version - 4 previous pregnancies, no living children.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Yesterday was scary.  Just because I had most of a pack of 25 cheapies from Amazon, I still pee on a stick every morning (until I run out, which will be in a few days), and yesterday's stick the line wasn't very dark at all.  Today's line was fine so I'm guessing it was just a crappy stick.  But I spent all day trying to assess if I was still having pregnancy symptoms and obsessively wiping and checking for blood.  Today I have a headache and had to go hunting around at work for Tylenol from someone ("no, I can't take an ibuprofen"), so I need to remember to get a "work Tylenol."  The boy person is annoying me.

Any appointment updates? First US isn't until 2/14 (when I should be 9+5), which is agonizing.  Bloodwork tomorrow and a video visit to review the bloodwork on the 8th.

Any big milestones?  Blueberry or M&M, according to the stuff.  So far I've made it further than 2 of my losses...I've only ever gotten as far as "heartbeat" once so we'll see.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?  Not really.
    Current pregnancy -
First BFP on 1/4/22.  Due date 9/13/22.

Four prior losses, no living children - 1 first trimester miscarriage, 1 blighted ovum, 1 chemical, and one extreme premature live birth daughter who died at 15 days old.

  • Weeks/EDD? 7+2 - 9/13

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? I had a mc and D&C in 2021.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Still scared every day. Constantly going through symptoms to make sure I have some of them. Physically, I am tired a lot and pee all the time. Oh, and my boobs are still super sore.

Any appointment updates? First ultrasound tomorrow!!!

    Any big milestones?

Rants/Raves/Questions? Does anyone else feel super bloated most of the day everyday? If so, do you do anything to make it better?
  • @jamiesc58 I'm extra bloated thanks to the progesterone supplements. I just try to drink as much water as I can and wear stretchy pants. Good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow!

  • @elle-0409 thank you! It will help my anxiety so much!

    Weeks/EDD? 7 weeks/September 13th

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? One missed miscarriage between my son & daughter. Found out at my routine LMP appointment at around 10 weeks. Body held onto it until I was around 12 weeks & I delivered naturally at home.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I am feeling much better emotionally after my appointment this week! We were able to see bitty's heartbeat flicker & he/she measured right on time. I just took the deepest breath & felt like I could actually breathe for the first time after seeing it. Physically just plain exhausted.

Any appointment updates? See above :) I don't go back until middle of february!

Any big milestones? Seeing that heartbeattttttt.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Will I ever stop examining my toilet paper after every time I go to the bathroom?! I feel like no.
  • I’m having so much anxiety today. My first appointment is on Monday and I’m so scared something is going to be wrong. Ugh am I ever going to feel normal during this pregnancy?

  • Weeks/EDD? 5+6 / 9/25

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? Chemical in September 2021. 6+4 week MC in November 2021.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Very anxious. But physically I feel much more this pregnancy. Nauseous, breast tenderness, and bloating.  None of which I had with miscarriage. Hoping it’s a good sign.

Any appointment updates? First Appt 2/15 😭

Any big milestones? This week Thursday I will be 6+4 which is when I started bleeding last time. Praying I can get through this week (and 33 more) with no bleeding!!

Rants/Raves/Questions?  Love that I have symptoms. But the bloating makes me look 4-5 months pregnant. Kind of hard to hide from family that we have been with all weekend.
  • @neomama3 the bloat is real!  I feel you.

I know for certain that ovulated on December 22, so it should be 7+4 today, but my obstetrician told me yesterday my due date is September 17th instead of 14th like I was expecting, and that may just be because I ovulated a few days early and his date is still just based on my LMP, but I'm concerned about why my baby looks 3 days smaller than it should.

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? I had a MMC in July at 10 weeks with baby measuring 8 weeks and a chemical pregnancy in November.

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? Mostly pretty optimistic this time! Hearing about other people's horrible medical experiences really drives home how fortunate I am to be in the country I'm in (Taiwan). I was diagnosed with APS after my first miscarriage, and while that's not good news, I'm now on multiple medications to treat and counter the disorder, where it's my understanding that in a lot of other countries I wouldn't have even been given the basic blood test that caught it until after three consecutive losses, which is just wildly negligent to me.

Any appointment updates? The reviews for my obstetrician claim he has a cold bedside manner, but I've been really relieved to discover that I find him quite pleasant. His English is not *totally* fluent, and my Chinese is pretty nonexistent, but he is the best high risk obstetrician near me, and having the excuse that I need communication help means my husband gets to accompany me when most husbands have to wait out in the waiting room. He told me yesterday that he thinks my pregnancy will be uneventful, and I can't imagine a kinder thing he could have said.

Any big milestones? I've had a lot of doctor visits since July. I've left many of them in tears. But they've never been happy tears before yesterday. It was the first time I've ever heard my baby's heartbeat.

Basically all of the things that are within my control. I know doctors say 200mg of caffeine is fine, but aside from an occasional small quantity of chocolate, I skip it all together. I take an expensive prenatal that's twice as expensive because of high import fees, but I can't read Chinese labels and I don't trust what I can't verify for myself. My rheumatologist said that, for my APS, because I'm already on Plaquenil, I could add Clexane or not, and I told him he's the professional, I'll do whatever he thinks is best for my baby, so now I give myself injections every other day that will probably leave my stomach bruised throughout my entire pregnancy, and that's fine, because after what I've been through there is no precaution I *wouldn't* take for my baby.

Yes! It's intense. Between the digestive system slow down due to progesterone and backup due to increased iron intake, I feel like anything I eat takes an age to digest and the bloat all gets stuck behind the slow moving digestion and just won't move at all. Fresh fruit seems to help and is about the only thing that doesn't make it worse. Dragon fruit is pretty awesome at getting things moving, but generally not very available outside of tropical climates.
