1st Trimester

4 weeks - darker lines, less symptoms *TW*

Hello. I am 11dp5dt. I insisted on an early beta @ 8dp. It was almost 200, progesterone was fine too. I don't go back for another until 13dp. I've been monitoring progression with internet cheapies, and they are sort of getting darker but could be argued that they're the same the last few days. They are definitely not getting lighter. (Note: they are pretty dark; not line stealers but close to the control line.) However, I feel that my symptoms have decreased. While I was surprised to have symptoms so early (6-8 dp no appetite, extreme fatigue, sore breasts), they are less now except the sore breasts--which are the same not worse. I also had (good?) cramping/stretching up until the other day. Now I feel like nothing, other than breasts and maybe a little fatigued.

***TW***I've had a chemical before but my HCG never got that high, not even close. But this is still around the time it ended. I'm wondering if my tests would be getting lighter if this was a chemical/MC and I've lost symptoms for a few days now... or would it take a while to even see them lighter? My line progression is my only hope right now!

Anyone with very profound initial symptoms for a couple days around BFP that leveled off?

Re: 4 weeks - darker lines, less symptoms *TW*

  • The loss/coming and going of symptoms have no bearing on the outcome of pregnancy.

Some women experience only 1 symptom - a missed period.

    Others have fluctuating symptoms.

Some have symptoms that are there, then disappear.

    Others have severe symptoms.

We can not tell you what is going on.  Just have patience and wait until your next draw.  That's all we can tell you. Sorry.

  • Is it possible that the strong early symptoms were related to hormones used to support the transfer? Symptoms can absolutely fluctuate. I hope you get some reassurance with the next draw, it's hard holding hope after loss. Joining your BMB may help pass the time as you wait for the next draw, and find the support of others who are experiencing similar struggles.
  • I don't know. I had a modified natural cycle for this transfer. Just HCG trigger, then progesterone suppositories. I "tested out" the trigger and it got super faint about 3 days after the transfer, then started getting darker again. You all are right, I need to just wait. Two days can seem like an eternity in this state of limbo.
