High-Risk Pregnancy

Triple x syndrome

did anyone's genetic screening come back as high risk of triple x syndrome? How are you coping with it?

Re: Triple x syndrome

  • I just saw this post and wanted to tell anyone with a trisomy x diagnosis that I have a little girl with trisomy x! There was nothing on US that could be seen, but my NIPT came back high risk for TX, so I had an amnio that confirmed it. I was so worried my whole pregnancy, but My daughter is literally perfect, there are no physical features that she has related to TX. I put her in a study for sex chromosome variations once she was born called extraordinary babies study because I was so worried I (or her pediatrician) would miss something… and really the only difference with her and other children is we see a lot of specialists that tell me she is fine! She had a renal ultrasound and she needed a repeat but her kidneys are normal. She had a echo that showed a small VSD, the repeat showed it closed. She had physical therapy from 3m-10m and met all her milestones on time or ahead. She started speech therapy at 18 m and tests on the lower end of normal for speech and her speech therapist keeps trying to discharge her. We have seen a GI doctor for constipation and we control it with diet now, she had 2 hearing tests and passed that, she has seen a eye doctor and he just wants to follow her… so really there have just been a lot of doctor appointments, PT/speech, and everything is pretty normal. I have been told that she might have learning difficulties and it’s all things that I will just keep an eye on as her worried and overbearing mother. I hope this may help anyone with a baby girl that has this diagnosis! There are also some great Facebook groups for TX.
