Re: Ten Things Tuesday 1/18

  • 1. Being pregnant! I am grateful every day for this opportunity. I'm a FTM and it took awhile to get to this point so I don't take it for granted.
    2. My hubby who now enjoys talking to the baby and kissing the bump. 🥰
    3. My supportive mom
    4. A cozy home
    5. The show "Making It". Its such a feel good show, highly recommended.
    6. Cinnamon raisin bread w/peanut butter- my current fave snack
    7. Warm wool socks
    8. Oranges
    9. Seltzer

  • Definitely a theme with being cold on mine haha

    1. My husband and kids. They make me smile every day. I’m so grateful for them!
    2. Being able to wfh when it’s this cold out. I do not miss the long walk from my car to my office in below freezing temperatures.
    3. Space heaters- I turn that on sometimes when I work and it’s so cozy!
    4. Coffee- regular or decaf… it’s always a welcomed, warm hug
    5. My dog - she’s the sweetest! She sits in her nest (my belly) every night and it’s the sweetest.
    6. My job. I’m grateful to be in the position I’m in and for the opportunities I’ve had along the way.
    7. Allllll the fruit. With my girls home from daycare for the Covid exposure, I “stocked up for them” 😉😉
    8. This baby being a boy. I probably would have said the same thing if her were a girl, just different reasons. I’m enjoying buying baby boy clothes.
    9. My mom- she’s going to come over and help watch the girls while they’re home for COVID exposure.
    10. Hobby lobby- crafts are my hobby and I like so many different types- sewing, card making, cricut stuff, knitting and crocheting. They have everything and it’s so easy to catch things on sale.
  • @zinnia19 mmm cinnamon raisin bread!!

@sunshineandlemons what kind of fruit you got? We rarely have fruit in our house unless it's summertime

    1. Being pregnant and in the 2nd trimester
    2. The fact that this pregnancy has been pretty easy going
    3. Warm blankets
    4. Laying in bed under the covers when it's cold in the room
    5. DH coming out of his comfort zone a little bit and being the one to tell people we're expecting
    6. Cinnamon rolls although I think they're upsetting my stomach because I'm eating gluten again in way too large of a quantity too quickly.
    7. DH working from home today! A rare occurrence
    8. My cat when she lays with me on the couch
    9. More blankets
    10. Our home

  • @inthewoods23 woohoo! 2nd tri!!

As for the fruit, we’ve got a pineapple (I need to cut it today!), grapes, blueberries, oranges, honeycrisp apples and strawberries. Much to my surprise, I’ve gotten decent strawberries at Walmart this winter. Also in the winter time, I sprinkle a little bit of sugar on them after cutting them up. It may be in my head but I feel like they keep longer and it of course makes them a little sweeter. I don’t usually have this much fruit around but it’s a craving when I’m pregnant and with the girls home, I give it to them for snacks and with breakfast and lunch.
  • @sunshineandlemons mmm pineapple! Last year was the first year I had bought a whole pineapple just for TTC purposes. Gotta have that pineapple core :D it didn't work for me though. Apples have been my go-to fruit this pregnancy. Honeycrisps are one of my go-to varieties but last time I bought apples didn't see them until after I had put 4 or 5 apples of some other variety in a bag. In non-pandemic times I would have dumped the apples back and grabbed the honeycrisps once I saw them but people were nearby and I didn't want to get any looks over putting back produce I had already touched.
