Product Spotlight: Playpen/ pack n’ play

Whatever you call it what one are you interested in and why? Second + time moms what did you have with your first and did you like it or not, and why?

And what would you like to see discussed next?

Re: Product Spotlight: Playpen/ pack n’ play

  • With my first I had the Joovy Room2 (they have since redone it), but I liked it for the amount of space it provided & the lack of frills. However, it was not the easiest to put away. This time around I want something smaller so I’m looking at the 4moms Breeze as it’s supposed to be incredibly easy to put away. I also like the look of it and I am a fan of the 4moms products.

  • I have the Lotus Travel Crib from Guava and it’s great. It has a zip in the side so that when they’re bigger and fall asleep you can just unzip and put them through the side which is really helpful if you’re on the shorter side like me. Also the sides are slightly angled so it’s a bit more stable but still has the same amount of room on the inside. I’ve also used it to travel and it was easy to pack up.
  • We went the typical Graco Pack'n'Play route. We originally got one that had the diaper changing attachment, but we used it maybe 1-2x. Mostly we used the Pack'n'Play to contain baby when we were making dinner, when we went to friends' houses past bedtime, or when my husband or I had to take baby in to work. It was insanely useful and pretty easy to pack and store when you got the hang of it.

  • Agree with everything @binxybaby said. We got a Graco pack n play 5 years ago when my son was born. We also got one with the baby bassinet portion, which we mainly used for diaper changes. We had the pack n play in the livingroom downstairs for daytime naps and baby slept in the crib upstairs at night. We've been using it with our daughter now for travel, she's 2 and still fits into it and it's perfect to take on the go with us, especially at hotels that don't provide cribs. We also have cousins over at the house all the time and it's constantly used for naps for little ones. It's probably one of my most used items to this day and is in perfect condition 5 years later.

  • Anybody know if there are supply chain issues with pack n plays? We’ve been trying to get ahead of it when necessary but I’m not sure what all is impacted other than nursery furniture.
