Monday B*tchfest - 1/10

Re: Monday B*tchfest - 1/10

  • Ughhhhhhh We are back with the bipolar stupid weather again… yesterday it was 82°. Right now it’s 40° outside. My sinuses can’t take the back and forth!!

  • Apparently either a symptom of covid or a symptom of pregnancy (or maybe a combo) these past couple nights is EXTREME thirst. I drink throughout the day and am fine, but I woke up every hour or so last night to go to the bathroom and every single time, I had to drink at least a glass of water to get my throat to stop feeling like I had gone out the night before. I am so exhausted and need my body to shift this to the daytime instead. 😵‍💫
  • @b_1029 I'm constantly dehydrated (my urine sample at the OB proved that 😬), and I'm sure it's because I'm NEVER thirsty. At all. Except in the middle of the night. And of course, chugging water is so uncomfortable. I'm trying to get better about drinking it during the day because I have had some very light braxton hicks in the evening, and i never got those with DD so it's freaking me out (even though I know it's normal)

@MrsLaLaBug ugh tell me about it. At least our weather looks *mostly* consistent for the next week here. I mean, we're staying between 40 and 75 so can you really ask for more? 🙃
  • Ughhh @b_1029 I’m sorry!
@pajamstagrams LOL so true!!! somewhere between 40-80 seems to be our sweet spot the past two weeks I just wish it would pick one and sit down. 😂

  • Third here with the ridiculous weather. Pick a temperature range and stay there lol. We were just at 70 again this weekend and now it’s supposed to snow again so wtf

My BF is once again to my UC. I got off of my flare diet (gluten free, super low sugar, low acid, soy free, lactose free) over the holidays and am paying for it now with a painful adjustment back to where I need to be. But the super fun part is that the UC flares are now triggering BH, which then in turn trigger more issues with the UC and it’s a vicious cycle. So needless to say my kids have had too much screen time the past week and the attitudes show it.
  • @skc040512 hugs ❤️ that's rough.
  • @MrsLaLaBug ugh yes to this up and down weather. It’s not helping anything!

@pajamstagrams same, I feel like i’m never super thirsty throughout the day. We need to do a water challenge or something to keep the BH at bay haha

@skc040512 ugh that sounds awful, im sorry.
  • I'd be dying for one 40° day 😂 It's been in the teens here and so stinking cold. I hate leaving the house and only do so for school pick up/drop off.

My BF is that we have some sort of rodents getting into our van in the evenings. Of course with 3 kids they keep leaving food in there and it's like a freaking buffet for them. They've chewed up one seatbelt and one carseat. We think they're living under our porch but it's way too freaking cold to pull it apart right now.

  • @jackdetroit omgosh that’s crazy!!!

  • My BF this week is that I thought I always had a strong bladder but it has become a complete wimp, and nearly every time I sneeze or cough I have literally peed myself these last few days while sick. And @b_1029 you’re so right about the thirst thing with covid. And it’s not helping my cause lol.
  • My BF is ice. We had a big storm over the weekend and very cold weather which has left a couple of black ice patches on the driveway. I went to get into my car and had a slow fall on a sneaky patch of it. I called my midwife just to be safe and they had me come in for monitoring, which ended up being 3 hours of heartbeat monitoring and then an US. Thankfully everything looked totally fine and it really wasn't a hard fall. DH went and salted the driveway for the 4th time, but with more cold weather and melting snow I'm going to be walking reaaaaaal slow outside for the rest of winter.
  • @karisahamdi Ugh that’s so frustrating!!!! I walk like a grandma because of the ice. Do you have yak tracks? I don’t but I’ve heard they help. (Of course you always slip when you least expect it, so it would likely be when you’re not wearing the tracks!)
  • @fireflyz_56 glad to know I’m not alone with the crazy thirst. I’ve drank like 3 body armors and at least 12 glasses of water today, still feel so parched. I peed myself yesterday when I choked on said water and couldn’t stop coughing 🤦🏼‍♀️ And here I thought my pelvic floor was doing ok lol
  • I started getting sick last Friday, thought I was getting over it over the weekend, and then Sunday night and BAM - sore throat, body aches, headache, cough, etc. OMG, Monday morning... I knew it was the 'rona, and the test popped up positive almost faster than my pregnancy test. I felt like roadkill that has been smeared across the highway by multiple 18-wheelers right up to yesterday. Even today I'm still exhausted after the most menial tasks. It's not even 8:30 and I'm ready for bed...but that's most nights!

  • @DarkSerendipity oh no, Im so sorry! 😔 Hoping you’re feeling better soon. My energy finally started returning yesterday and I think I’ve just about recovered now.
  • @DarkSerendipity ugh nooooo. I’m sorry you’re a member of the covid club! Hopefully your symptoms pass quickly. I feel way better than I did a few days ago, but I’m still so tired 😴
  • @b_1029 I made that club back at the beginning of last year. I found out I was pregnant during the middle of my quarantine. Talk about miserable - morning sickness AND loss of taste and smell. That one, obviously, didn't make it, I would have been due October 7th. At least this one happened right in the middle.
