What does a positive pregnancy test really look like??

Re: What does a positive pregnancy test really look like??

  • Does anyone see a second line on these tests? I cant tell if I'm imagining them

  • @knottie I see a very faint second line but taking them out of the plastic makes them void. There is no reason to do that. I would test again in 2-3 days. By then you should have a more clear answer. Best of luck!

Sharing because I spent a long time squinting at mine! The first one was the day after my period was due (at least, I thought it was, but I've been irregular in the two months since coming off the pill so I may have been slightly off - hence the very faint line). I had never seen any kind of positive line on a test before, so I was pretty convinced.

The second (the digital one) was about 36 hours later.

My GP has since confirmed it with blood tests

    I still can't belive it
  • I feel like there’s always a lot of chatter re blue dye. The pink dye is first response, taken like 2 days after period was due. And then blue dye is CVS brand taken today. I also turned a digital positive 8.26.21

  • Faint positive or indent?? So hard to tell!
  • @lparcell was this within the testing window? If so, I’d say it’s a faint positive. Would try again in a couple days
  • Yes it was within 3 mins! I'm gonna test Saturday morning @b_1029
  • Posting because I found these while I was cleaning out the hall bathroom and thought they might be helpful to someone. Currently I am 21w4d. All the tests here are FRER. Not picking up well on camera but the 10DPO lines are visible, albeit light.

Good luck to all on the testing/TTGP journey ❤️

  • Can anyone give me advice took a clear blue got 1/2 weeks & took some cheaper ones faint lines ?

  • @kirstyyyyy68262 if this is what it looked like in the time frame, then it’s positive! If this was after the time frame in the instructions, wait a few days and take another one.
  • Hi thank you! No it was about 5 minutes after and just taken another and got a darker positive.
  • I just wanted to upload this for anyone looking for progression pictures to compare because mine are easy to see. I know I used to look at these all the time 💕

the bottom test is from Friday and I think Tuesday is 10DPO

  • I’m about 17 DPO my tests are progressing just not very fast? Not sure if anyone’s tried mommed but those are the ones that are really faint?
  • I’m really conflicted because I don’t feel like the line progresses much over 24hrs so I’m not sure if I really believe they are positive. The first that is clearly negative was Oct 25th which is 10DPO, the last one was this morning at 13DPO, my period is potentially due tomorrow. I will retest in a few days was just curious what others thought. Also this is my first time using the Premom brand, they came with OPK pack.
  • For not even missing your period yet, that’s a clear positive. Don’t focus on progression… you’ll make yourself crazy! Congratulations!

I was either 2 days early or one day late. I only say that because I think I may have ovulated early and my LP is bang on 14 days.

    Edit: can't post photos :(
  • Believe it or not these were all false positives. There was a digital one too making 5 positive tests. Went into clinic following week all excited for my first checkup only to find i wasnt pregnant. I didn't believe any home test after that. Sonogram 2 months later confirmed when I was ACTUALLY pregnant so yeah, just a cautionary tale. It's rare but it does happen 🤷‍♀️ Best confirmation is seeing that lil bean on the monitor anyway 🤗

  • Hey everyone! So I need advice. I took a test yesterday and today (I’m 9dpo). Did anyone get a test like this?

today is the day of my missed period. I’ve been testing since 4 days since my missed period. I have a very strong BFP (darker than control online) anyone else have this?
  • When using the regular one the lines come up right away
  • Thank you all!

I used this brand and got strong positives right away, I tested 13 and 14 dpo. Give yourself a few days for the hormones to be stronger and test with your first pee of the day :) good luck!
  • I heard Clearblue was a really good brand. I bought 2 boxes, took the test at different times of the day… and came back with same results. I love how clear the one that says “pregnant” is.
  • When I tested with the pregnancy kit, my result was negative. But I ended up pregnant in my blood test. I don't know what happened here.
  • Ultrasound 8 DPO, even earlier than a positive test! Confirmed, we have a baby in there.

I am so confused by this… 8dpo is early for a hpt, and about 2 weeks+ early to be able to see anything on an US.
    DD1: June '16 DD2: March ‘19 :::: Married since 2011 :::: USN Wife ::::
  • An early transvaginal ultrasound was done this morning.

Google it. It’s possible to see a gestational sac at 3 weeks 1 day pregnant
