Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Monday 1/3

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. R/R: It's been raining here for the past week and the ground has gotten so saturated that my neighbor's fence fell down. And of course it's the side of the fence that borders our backyard so it's basically half our back fence that has collapsed. We've blocked it off with a picnic table for now but I'm worried that my dogs will get out if they don't fix it quickly. Rave: my job has approved combat pay for all RNs again so starting yesterday we get it on top of our normal salary!

    CS/Q: nope

    R/R: I have been pleasantly surprised to not have noticed any symptoms from the progesterone. Maybe it's just too early? I'm not sure what I expected, but nothing is nice. Otherwise just kind of in the boring phase. The one good thing about my disaster last month is I have no desire to test early.ย

    Winter has decided to show up here finally and I was freezing this morning! Trying to convince myself to go on a walk at lunchtime since the sun is shining at least.ย

    CS/Q: Nope

  • @shortstack930 Oops, I took too long to post and missed you. Yikes, that is a lot of rain! I hope it will be a quick fix. Yay for extra pay though! It's great that they are recognizing the stress you all are under.ย
  • @shortstack930 Hoping your neighbors fix that fence quickly! Also yay for the additional pay. That's always nice!

    @abjm0325 Glad you're not noticing any symptoms. Hopefully it stays that way!

    R/R: We had some really good news this morning, which was a great way to start a Monday. A little rant is that we're supposed to be taking a trip this coming weekend and because of this cycle being abnormally long I think AF will probably be here then too. ugh lol day 1 and 2 are usually pretty miserable for me, otherwise I wouldn't care so much.

    CS/Q: Nah. My temps are a mess. I'm ready for a new cycle to start lol

  • @shortstack930 I am so glad that they've approved the extra pay. You all DESERVE IT! <3

    @abjm0325 Enjoy that sunshine and I'm glad the progesterone is going easy on you.

    @annanbby Yay for great news!!

    R/R: I am still in my pajamas and it is nearly dinner timeย  :D I am really leaning into isolation at this point. I've been playing with retirement calculations all day and just asked my best friend to send me her info so I can make projections for her, too. Apparently my answer to "How will you spend Covid isolation?" is: making seven million spreadsheets for fun. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sidenote: I am in no way employed in a financial capacity. This is purely a hobby.ย

  • @abjm0325 glad you're not feeling any side effects yet! Hopefully it stays that way.

    @annanbby ugh I hate having AF on trips. Glad you had some good news today!

    @Paturkey I love days like that!! Remind me--do you have covid or are you just quarantining?

  • @annanbby Boo to AF spoiling your trip, but glad you got good news this morning!
    @Paturkey At least that is a productive use of time (instead of, say, re-watching Great British Bake Off like I opted for during my break). :)
  • @shortstack930 I do indeed have Covid. The whole extended family was struck down just after Christmas so I am still at my 'in-laws' even though I was meant to fly home today. We are all fine and just suffering from various degrees of cold symptoms and I'm down to only random aches that travel from one part of my back to another. I had lost count but have just checked and today is Day 8. I'll have to test negative on Thursday to fly Friday but hopefully I will by then (I'm in Italy and flying back to the UK). (Also hoping I have all the antibodies now with two AstraZeneca vaccinations, a Pfizer booster, plus probably-Omicron-Covid).

    @abjm0325 It's just a side bonus that this was productive. I am very anti-hustle culture and told myself specifically that this sick time was for doing nothing, not trying to be useful. I fully endorse your Bake Off binging ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

    @shortstack930
    You are definitely lucky to get that pay raise! My hospital threw it back in our faces when we mentioned hazard pay saying that dealing with pandemics was to be expected as a nurse and that we had signed up for it we chose our careers ๐Ÿ™„.

    @abjm0325
    I'm glad there are no side effects yet. I know what you mean about not testing early now. I think I'm going to wait till a week after AF is due from now on just to be safe.

    @annanbby
    Ugh, AF and trips are never fun together. Hope you have a good time, though!

    @paturkey
    I hope you and your family get to feeling better soon! That is one way to pass the time ๐Ÿ˜„
  • @Paturkey oh man, I hope you feel better and are able to get back home soon!! It seems like everyone has covid right now!

    @katrielle that is insane and horrible!! Thatโ€™s why so many nurses are leaving right now!!
