  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 5w+5d

Baby is the size of a(n): According to my daily fact this morning, the opening of a straw

    Team: finding out

Upcoming Appointments: first ultrasound on January 5

How are you feeling?: Mostly ok, tired but sleeping like crap

Rants/Raves: if I could just sleep, that would be great

    Questions: nope

GTKY- If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why? I like living near DHs family but I wouldn’t mind living somewhere I could go snowboard more but I also hate driving in snow so idk

  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 8w1d

Baby is the size of a(n): half lego

    Team: finding out

Upcoming Appointments: none... still waiting on my insurance card to arrive

How are you feeling?: boobs hurt worse than they ever have. My 9 y.o. laid on me to hug me goodnight and I almost threw him. (He doesn't know yet.) I'm so bloated and BMs are non-existent despite fiber supplements, exercise, and fiber rich foods.

Rants/Raves: Why are long inseam maternity jeans so hard to find and so dang expensive?! All "regular" inseam are $35 but long... $80?!?! Triple UGH. Luckily I found a sale on some for $60 but that's still more than I hoped to spend.

    Questions: none for now.

GTKY- If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why? Preferably in a beach town that isn't a major tourist attraction.

    Upcoming Appointments: Jan 20th

How are you feeling?: fairly normal, sense of smell is really the only thing - but it's like almost puke inducing depending on what i'm smelling. weirdly bloat isn't bad, i def didn't feel sick or super tired until like 7-8 weeks with my first pregnancy. so just biding my time here.

Rants/Raves: 4 day work week! but also still have all of the christmas wrapping and a few gifts to nab.

    Questions: natm

GTKY- If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why? London, England. it's my favorite city in the world.

  • @paytonpedro Ritual! So far not too bad with nausea.

  • @paytonpedro I take NatureMade. Pretty big pill, but goes down easy with a drink. And thanks for the heads up about Poshmark, I'll look into it!

@maggiemadeit Right?! I feel like all my bloat would be gone if my body would just. Let. Go!

  • @bearmomma1 I'm glad I'm not the only one but ugh... I have so much to do it is frustrating I can't focus and get it done.
  • @bearmomma1 @darkrose88 same here! My last day is Wednesday until January 4 and I have so much to do before then and no motivation or focus to do it
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 8/8, 7 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

    Team: green!

Upcoming Appointments: Jan 10. I had a call with the OB today and they moved my dye date from what Dr. Google had said. Not complaining about losing a week in first tri!

How are you feeling?: AWFUL. DS shared his virus with me and it's followed the same pattern he had: congestion/cough, then nausea/vomiting. We both got covid tests, negative. This is easily the sickest I've ever been as a mom and it's miserable - thank God for DH. I'm just over here praying the lions share of this is in fact the virus and not Tri 1. I did not feel this bad last time! (Though - it'd be a pretty decent hint that it's a girl if this is just my life now)

Rants/Raves: looking forward to a therapy appointment this week on Weds. A lot has happened in the past 2+ weeks - finding out I'm pregnant (yay!), COVID scariness with omicron feeling like deja Vu all over again with my first pregnancy, DH's grandpa passing and deciding it wasn't safe for DS & I to go to the funeral, and then the biggie, **TW** the ultra-early arrival of my SIL's twins (25 weeks) and the events that have unfolded with them since **END TW** I need some processing space for sure. DS being home sick all week last week didn't help - I'm so glad he's back at daycare today (and hoping he's doing okay!)

    Questions: none today :)

GTKY- If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why? I love Boston & MA so I'm good here! But I do sometimes wish I lived somewhere a little sleepier and/or with lower cost of living...and of course there's the dream of Europe and their better support of women and families (and great food!)
  • @paytonpedro I do naturemade + DHA. I've heard some have nausea issues with it but I've never had that problem

@maggiemadeit & @returning_bump_member I just talked about this with the OB today and they recommended colace. FWIW!

@maggiemadeit I'm dying to know where on the cape you are! (But understand if you don't want to share- no pressure) My grandparents lived in Harwich for over 20+ years. My fam continues to do a mid-cape vacation week most summers :)

@bearmomma1 good luck with your betas today!

@darkrose88 good luck at your appointment! I'm lucky - no work this week. I'm sure it'd be a slog and feeling this awful would not help!
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 8/6 / 7w2d

Baby is the size of a(n): Blueberry

Team: Finding out, we’re doing the NIPT at the next appointment.

Upcoming Appointments: Just had one on Friday, next appt is 1/25.

How are you feeling?:  Nausea comes in waves, tired, bizarre dreams, and bloated.

Rants/Raves:  There was a kid who tested positive in my son’s class today, so now we are missing Christmas 😫.  We missed Thanksgiving due to a positive in his class too.  Soooooo over all this.

    Questions: None

GTKY- If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why?  I love where I live, but I’d go for a vacation home in Tuscany or Scotland.

  • @geshem oh nooooo - car sickness is the worst!!  I also had it terribly when I was a kid, and it came back with a vengeance in my 30s.  I have to be the driver for anything over 5 minutes in the first trimester.  I hope you find a COVID test quickly and that it's negative!
  • @becks105 good luck! we are doing it MLK weekend, my daughter is SUPER into the potty. she will tell us "potty" and start pulling down her pants, so i'm hoping the oh crap method works well when we rip the bandaid off!
  • EDD / Weeks + Days: 8/31- 4w1d

Baby is the size of a(n): poppyseed

    Team: finding out

Upcoming Appointments: 1/24 - feels like forever away.

How are you feeling?: so tired, cringing at the thought of morning sickness kicking in soon. Very thirsty and very hungry all the time. Emotionally - anxious for  that first doc visit to be sure all is ok.

Rants/Raves: Week off off work for the holidays! Won’t exactly be restful (3yo boy and 1yo girl) but at least I don’t have to put on hard pants!

    Questions:

GTKY- If you could move anywhere, where would it be and why? Happy where we are in the PNW with lots of family around, but it would be nice to live somewhere sunny and warm everyday like Santa Barbara.
