Had my 3rd scan on Tuesday, babies growing nicely and hearts just beating like crazy. We got to hear them for the first time and it was awesome! They had me in the fuzzy ultrasound machine room so the pics are blurry but you can see both on their own pic 6wks3days
Hi friends! I am a mom of 3 and expecting. I went in for my first check-up/US today and found out I am currently carrying twins. First baby is measuring at 6w5d as expected with a 132 HB, second baby is measuring at 5W5d with 95HB. My doctor told me there is a concern for vanishing twin and we really won't know until my next US on 1/6. I am in a bit of shock/excited/extremely worried. If anyone else is going through something similar would love to hear. Best of luck to all and congratulations to everyone!

@tbozzer keeping your little ones with positive thoughts. My twin B was a little smaller and measuring behind twin A during my first 2 scans but they evened out at this last scan, I think it was the way twin B was positioned when they measured.

Surprise ultrasound today. Baby looks great! Measuring either right on time (8w2d) or a day ahead depending on the picture. HR is 178. I’m so happy this baby is looking good and my doctor eased my worries!
@tbozzer I don't have any experience with that but I hope you get better news next month at your next appointment ❤️
@msspoon12 did you actually hear the HB? The techs always tell me you won't be able to hear anything until 10 weeks with a Doppler (and assuming baby is cooperating with their position haha)

@inthewoods23 oh absolutely 100% we heard each little bean multiple times as the doc was showing us how they measure with the little markers on the screen. It was awesome. And our twins are only mid 6 weeks at this point it was a vaginal ultrasound as well
I'm 11 weeks today and had another ultrasound yesterday, SO CUTE! Of course my Dr. tried a doppler and couldn't find the heartbeat (same experience with my 1st at 10 weeks) so we went in for an ultrasound and did my bloodwork for the genetic testing. we'll find out if it's a boy or a girl too! I'm not my computer right now so don't have my photos on hand but I saw baby's arms above their head and saw their little feet and knees bending! I can't believe they're little people at this point. She even got some great shots of their profile (nose, eyes, chin). These ultrasounds will be expensive when I receive the bill but so worth it when I see them moving.
Had a not so fun surprise ultrasound (but didn't get photo) today. Not so fun because it involved a trip to the ER but baby is happily jiving along and now measuring ahead at 8w 1d with a HB of 153. I swear this kid loves chaos.
I had an u/s done at what I now know was 5+2 and only showed a gestational sac and yolk sac. Repeated ultrasound one week later and still have one gestational sac and two heartbeats! Next scan is scheduled for 12/22 and it seems so far away!
Measuring right on time! The scan was at 7+6 and I am excited for my next at 11+6!! Heartbeat at 161! I feel like my anxiety is ever so slightly less severe now that I have seen these adorable little pictures.
Just left appt and we got to see and hear our littles heartbeats and they are measuring right on schedule at 7w4d. Twin A beating 166 and Twin B at 154 pics are a little blurry as they had me in the crappy ultrasound room again but I’m still happy!
Baby is measuring 8w4d with a heartbeat of 174! SCH hasn't really changed in size though. I'm praying it goes away soon!!! We're going to keep doing weekly ultrasounds to monitor it though since she said it is a moderate to lg size sch
Little one is looking good! I’m 10+3 and measured 10+4! HR was 172 and my SCH is gone!! Follow up in 3 weeks. Both OBs were at the hospital for some reason today so the nurse just left some notes for ordering NIPT and NT scan. I’ll have NT scan sometime in next couple weeks after discussion with my OB. Little one even wiggled around a little today!
We're 10w today measuring 10w1d! Baby was super duper wiggly today and I got to hear the heartbeat so that was amazing.

This week has been hard, we got some bad news about my
boyfriend's grandmother, she only has a few more days. We really wanted to tell
her, but that means telling everyone on his side. I called my doctor and begged
for an earlier ultrasound, and they fit me in. The doctor couldn't find the
baby, and so another doctor was called in. I was about to completely lose it, but she found the baby immediately. 7+5 and 153 bpm! I'm so excited I got to
see the little gummy-bear early.
34 year old mama of a 4 year old girl. 1st birth through years of trying and the wonder drug letrozole. Second a great surprise.
I feel like I've been waiting FOREVER for this ultrasound! Last night when I arrived they told me the policy is that I cannot see the screen, get any pictures or hear the hearbeat, but the photos taken would be uploaded onto an online portal that I could download. I was so, so disappointed, but luckily, photos were up about an hour after my appt. One little bean and HR was 183. I have a Dr. appt Monday so will get more details then, but I am just so relieved to see these photos and know there was a HR. My due date based on LMP was July 19, so as you can see here I am a bit behind, measuring at July 25th, so I am interested to see what my Dr. has to say! My first pregnancy the dates were off by a few days as well, and Dr decided to stick with LMP. I've moved, so different doctors this time around.
@courtneyqdk yippee!! That's so weird that they won't show you the screen. Yesterday's appointment the sonographer showed me all the limbs and such of baby before she actually got measurements and the HB. Normally they do that first then show me.
My OB sends you a text with a link to download a zip file of numerous ultrasound photos. It shows up before I even leave their office. It's been so nice to have to send DH who hasn't been able to come with me. I would hate having to wait so long for them!

@inthewoods23 it was so different than with my first - they always showed the screen and also printed pics for me right in the office! I've moved across the province so I guess different places have different policies. They told me the photos would be up within 24hrs, but could take as long as 3-4 business days so I was very upset. Luckily, I got an email notification like an hour later that they were all available for download. At least now I know for next time I guess!
@courtneyqdk it sucks how different places can be with their policies! Mine says no photos or videos can be taken in the room unless the sonographer allows it. I thought about asking if I could get a quick video of baby wiggling around because they were quite active yesterday but I think the allowance of that is only for rare occasions or something. That's how I interpreted the sign. I have another ultrasound next week that DH will be at so he will get to experience it soon (thank you PTO!).

@inthewoods23 that was the policy where I used to work as well. The allowance is typically for military families where the dad is overseas or something.
Had my appointment yesterday and the baby is looking good! Measuring 8w6d, I am 9w2d so right on track and they are leaving my due date 7/20. Heart rate was 180. We were even able to see the little tadpole kicking it’s little nubs for legs, I never saw that with DD or DS and it was adorable.
Honestly, I would consider everything in COVID times to be exceptional circumstances. Most places don't allow significant others to come to appointments now, so they don't have the opportunity to see the u/s live, hear the heartbeat, etc. The least they can do is let you take a quick video. I would interpret the sign more as requiring you to give the sonographer a heads up so they can step out of the video if they don't want to be recorded.
That is really weird, and tbh would be a deal breaker for me unless they could articulate a damn good reason. I have limited tolerance for healthcare practitioners that try to play hide the ball with my own personal health info.
@inthewoods23 i dont know about photos or video, but my office allows me to do video calls with partner since they are not allowed to be in US or OB appointments (although they are allowed in the waiting room..so like, weird rules)
12w3d, and finally looking like a baby instead of just a blurry blob. The u/s portion of the first trimester screen went great. So glad to have this u/s to confirm everything still looks good before we tell more people (and because my anxiety has been pretty high lately)
Todays shot of my moth and chicken wing babies are measuring on time with awesome HB. I have my first OB appt next week so I am skipping the weekly exam with my fertility doc but he gave me good news that I can stop the estrodal patch and pills this Friday and stop progesterone shots the following Friday!

This week has been hard, we got some bad news about my boyfriend's grandmother, she only has a few more days. We really wanted to tell her, but that means telling everyone on his side. I called my doctor and begged for an earlier ultrasound, and they fit me in. The doctor couldn't find the baby, and so another doctor was called in. I was about to completely lose it, but she found the baby immediately. 7+5 and 153 bpm! I'm so excited I got to see the little gummy-bear early.
1st birth through years of trying and the wonder drug letrozole.
Second a great surprise.
My OB sends you a text with a link to download a zip file of numerous ultrasound photos. It shows up before I even leave their office. It's been so nice to have to send DH who hasn't been able to come with me. I would hate having to wait so long for them!

Dx: low morph (1%), ANA positive, low decidualization score, high TSH and testosterone, histone antibodies

Honestly, I would consider everything in COVID times to be exceptional circumstances. Most places don't allow significant others to come to appointments now, so they don't have the opportunity to see the u/s live, hear the heartbeat, etc. The least they can do is let you take a quick video. I would interpret the sign more as requiring you to give the sonographer a heads up so they can step out of the video if they don't want to be recorded.

That is really weird, and tbh would be a deal breaker for me unless they could articulate a damn good reason. I have limited tolerance for healthcare practitioners that try to play hide the ball with my own personal health info.
9+3. Baby is measuring 9+4. HB of 157! It's actually looking less like a blob! 😂
babies are measuring on time with awesome HB. I have my first OB appt next week so I am skipping the weekly exam with my fertility doc but he gave me good news that I can stop the estrodal patch and pills this Friday and stop progesterone shots the following Friday!
