Re: FFFC 12-17

  • I’m sure there are others in the same boat as me but I still need to wrap ALL of our gifts and still need to finish shopping for my husband.
  • Loading the player...
  • Same @sunshineandlemons, same.  After DS went to bed last night I actually stood up to go to the basement and get the wrapping paper and supplies.  Got distracted by the warm fireplace. Then decided that it could wait until this weekend and sat back down.

    My FFFC is sort of related..  H isn't currently working for the short term, and I'm so wiped out that I have gotten very lazy and essentially handed all household chores over to him without really telling him.  I do feel bad for being so useless, and I'm sure he's gotten frustrated by my lack of help, but he's a smart man and hasn't said anything.
  • @sunshineandlemons same, the weeks have been going by too fast and the weekend I haven’t been able to get anything done so I feel super behind!

    @zwink1 at least he is smart enough not to say anything lol, I am maxed out this week with work so by the time I get the kids fed and in bed I am going to bed myself. I told DH I feel bad but he never minds picking up the slack sometimes.

    I got subway for lunch yesterday. I got a foot long hot sandwich which the intention of eating half of it yesterday and then the other half for lunch today. I definitely ate the entire sandwich. No shame.
  • @sunshineandlemons I finished wrapping last week!

    @bearsandbeets7 oh man I used to not finish my Qdoba bowls but I have no problem now haha.

    FFFC - I still haven't really done much work today and it's 11:30. Whoops

    @inthewoods23 Work? What's that?

    @melanier26 Agree!

    My FFFC is that I currently have 4 pairs of shoes in my office lol. 2 pair I regularly wear, 1 pair of boots (hello winter), and 1 pair of ballet flats that I never wear.

  • @melanier26 THANK YOU! I have grown to hate Chipotle because they cook their fajita peppers and onions to death. Qdoba also recently started offering a jalapeno verde and it's soooo good.

  • @melanier26, completely agree with the superiority of Qdoba.  Everything at Chipotle tastes like onions and cilantro to me, and I loathe onions and cilantro.   :s
  • My FFFC - I purposely booked an appointment to get out of curling with my cousins on Monday. They have been pissing me off lately and as much and I love curling, I just don't want to be around them right now.
  • @zwink1 that would distract me too lol! I feel like it’s been things like that popping up all month for me and now this is where I’m at. 😂🤷‍♀️

    @bearsandbeets7 no shame in that. It’s hard to stop sometimes!

    @inthewoods23 you are amazing! Even not pregnant, I’m usually not done at this point in the season!

    @melanier26 Our qdoba closed 😢 We’re left with Moe’s and Chipotle- I miss it.

    @peppylilfoxy I think that helps to preserve your mental health. I’d feel no guilt in that.
  • Another FFFC - I opened a Christmas card, got glitter all over my hand, read the inside of the card, then immediately tossed it in the trash 🤣

    That card was dropping glitter with every little motion. I am not hanging that on my front door with the rest of the Christmas cards we received!

    I got my covid booster in the middle of the week so that I could call out of work the next day (knowing I wouldn't feel well). Could have gotten it on a Friday, but nah, didn't want to ruin the weekend. 😆 So worth it!

    @inthewoods23 I do not like glitter! It gets everywhere! Would have done the same thing.
  • @zinnia19, psh, that's just good planning!

    @inthewoods23 yeah…. My mailbox is around the corner. I go get it, open everything, and throw out everything at the trash can on the way back. Very little mail makes it in the house 🤣🤣 cards included.

    @LJMoon6 I don’t even own four pairs of shoes 🤣 how do you have four in your office!?

    Alright. First off MOES is the best Mexican (other than like authentic) period. I am so sad I don’t have one anymore.
    Second, idk what Qdobas is but I’ve been eating Chipotle every like three days because I’m borderline a vegan again and their veggie burritos are freaking bomb. And not super expensive.

    ETA: forgot my actual confession! This is the first time I’m eating a real dinner in like a month and it’s a PBJ and BBQ chips. Zero shame.

  • @tuxielove93 we have a Moe's near us too and I love their tomatillo salsa!

    My order of liking for the 3 would be Qdoba, Moe's, then Chipotle.

  • My confession: I bailed last minute on our highly anticipated work holiday party because 1) I don’t want to get Covid before the holidays (when we’re planning to announce to our families), 2) everyone at work had been annoying me that day, 3) it was raining, and 4) I had nothing to wear 🤷🏼‍♀️
