Baby Names

Name suggestions

Looking for help making combos (middle names don't have to be from the list. I don't like Marie, Lynn, Faith, Jade, Faye, Grace, Dawn, or Jo for girls or Michael for boys) and add more names to the list. Please don't change combos I've already made unless otherwise noted.

I love classic and vintage names that aren't too common (ideally, FNs would be outside the top 200, but I'll consider something in the 150-200 range, depending on how much I like it).
I'm of Irish, Latvian, Scottish, and Scandinavian heritage, so that's a plus, but not required. I like a lot of international names in general too, as long as they're easy to spell and pronounce.

I hate BNOGs and almost all "unisex" and "gender-neutral" names for girls, but more flexible for boys. I'm also not a fan of a majority of trendy, modern names or anything made up or misspelled.

I also can't use Morrigan because it's my niece's name.

Last name will be Fleming.

Re: Name suggestions

  • Wow, those are both long lists. I’d work on narrowing down what you already have before you add more. Fwiw, I also like classic but not necessarily popular names and I have a Jacqueline Deanna and a Lucille Helen. Middle names are both family names.

  • TLDR; Holy wow your lists are huge! How many kids do you plan on naming? Lol. I would follow the suggestion of pp and bring us back a narrowed down list. Lol. Good luck!
  • Of your combos I like Vera Josephine, Rosalie Maeve, and Eamon Francis with your last name. Others that I like as first names from your lists are Ruth, Louisa, Bridget, Rory, Ronan. I like Frederick and Fiona but not a fan or first name/last name alliteration. I agree with pp that the lists are very long. You probably could easily cut a lot of names off if you listen to your gut on which ones you love and which ones don't give you that same feeling.
  • I like Rhys for a boy… it’s my son’s middle name.
Sylvie is my favorite of your girl names

  • I love a lot of your names, but maybe try to narrow it down to about 6 or 7 first names then adding middle names. I saw Riley on your list. We are naming our son Riley. It works really well for my grandfather and it’s been “easy” talking about the baby with the name. Like I just couldn’t talk about my baby referring to him as “Scott” or something like that. “Riley” works for us! Think of adults with the names you like. Imagine your child having business cards in the future. Think of your kid functioning with different careers. College professor, author, politician. How does the name work in these cases?
