  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 26th / 4w6d

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Definitely team finding out

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: An apple seed

Upcoming appointments: First US/appointment on 12/13
that I was pre-pregnancy. Sore boobs for sure. I also had some more-than-mild cramping this weekend.

Rants/Raves: Rant: my work JUST told us that our asset teams (10 of us total) are traveling down to Daytona Beach for 2 days in mid-December for year-end wrap up and 2022 planning. This sucks. I had to reschedule my ultrasound - luckily they could get me in 2 days sooner (the day before I leave). Also, I wasn't planning on telling work until the 12 week mark but now I have to - they all know I am a beer drinker and these are definitely drinking events (plus they'll wonder why I'm the only one masked up). But most annoyingly is that I am a HORRIBLE flyer. I need to be medicated and have at least 2 drinks to get me through a flight. Now I can't have either of those and I am already panicking hardcore.
Rave: I just ordered my almost 5 year old custom Bareknaked Ladies shirts for Christmas and I am so excited! He loves all of their songs and it so cute to hear him sing them haha.

Questions: Has anyone taken anti-anxiety meds while pregnant? I think I get prescribed Ativan for flying and my OB is okay with it but I am nervous to take anything really.

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? I live in New England, it cold for much of the year here haha! For me, it has to be a really great pair of boots and warm socks! Having cold, frozen, wet feet is absolutely miserable.

  • @jellie603 I also have a prescription (Xanax) for flying! My PCP, who I just had to switch to and haven’t met in person, said not to take it while pregnant. However, I’m almost 100% sure I was cleared by my OB to take it while I was pregnant with DD. I plan to ask my new OB at my first appointment, although I don’t know if I’ll really have occasion to fly in the next 8 months. I did fly while pregnant with DD, and again, I think I took Xanax and had no problems/worries. Avoiding the stress and panic of flying seemed worth it to me for such a small and infrequent dose. Good luck with your own decision!

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: I'm sure we'll find out even though a small part of me wants to try the whole Team Green thing.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: apparently an apple seed

Upcoming appointments: First appointment is 12/9.

How are you feeling?: Good today. I never had much nausea with my earlier pregnancies but have had waves with this one already, so we'll see how that goes.

Rants/Raves: It's a short work week! Rant: the nausea may make Thanksgiving dinner difficult to stomach and I don't want to tell anyone about this pregnancy yet, so hopefully I can suffer through.

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? I'd say gloves or warm socks.

@jellie603 I've been on Zoloft to help with anxiety for about a year. I've discussed with my OB and he's good with me staying on it, though we may try to wean during 3rd tri.
    Me: 35     DH: 37

    BFP: 11.11.21 | EDD 7.24.22

  • @L1C4gal thank you! I agree - such a small and infrequent dose shouldn't be too much to worry about. Funny how PCPs and OBs don't agree on everything haha.
@laeberge3 that is good to know, thank you!! Also, I hope you can enjoy even just some of turkey day dinner.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: July 10th

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Green (LOL though DH is already convinced its a boy since the Dr mentioned it was big at the US.)

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Blueberry

Upcoming appointments: US 12/2, last one before we are "discharged" from the RE!!

How are you feeling?: Not great. I had a horrible reaction to my progesterone shot on Friday and am now in the process of switching meds. My butt is swore and swollen :-(

Rants/Raves: My DH listened so patiently to me last night sob about so much random stuff i knew even as i was doing it that it was just the chemicals talking. Some of the subjects covered were 1) I am 5 pounds heavier then i was last pregnancy (i know 5 pounds is nothing), 2) Leaving my RE (um thats a good thing), 3) My dog is getting older (we can tell but he is still happy and living his dog life.) It was ridiculously long and he was a saint for letting me get it all out so i could sleep.

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? I agree, comfy socks and waterproof boots. I wanted to wear my boots today but its sunny out so i thought it might be too early still :-)

    FTM/STM/STM+: TTM

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I like how this week they are forming little hands and feet!! They almost don’t look like a tadpole anymore 🤣

Upcoming appointments: Still searching for a doctor and have to schedule a new dating scan

How are you feeling?: I’m so sick. I lost 10 pounds between the beginning of my pregnancy and Saturday when I finally started feeling able to eat a little more. Which I guess to some isn’t a huge deal, but it’s like 8% of my body weight so….. yeah it’s a big deal. I’m actually really upset. For one, not healthy. For two, I miss my mama rolls. I’ve grown pretty attached to my mama body and I feel really uncomfortable like this. I know it’s gonna go back but for now I’m pretty unhappy. And feeling weak and tired on top of trying to deal with the nausea.

Rants/Raves: Rant: It’s just sad to me that I tried to tell our family about how sick I am and they were very…. Flippant about my weight loss.I don’t think they appreciate how sick I am and it just hurt that they didn’t seem to care. And they aren’t checking in on me at all. They were making jokes that they gained the weight themselves or they could give me twenty five pounds. It just felt really invalidating.

Rave: my husband has continued to be a saint through this and is working overtime to care for me and our boys. 10/10 to him.

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? Living somewhere I don’t need any cold weather accessories 🤣

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out.  my 3yo who doesn't know i'm pregnant, drew a picture the other day of "his little sister" and hubby is insistent we are having a girl.  so we'll see!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a blueberry.  or the red pill from the Matrix

Upcoming appointments: 12/3 - repeat US to check a SCH and make sure baby is on track

How are you feeling?: bad headache today, i felt happy tears after US last week and then a little worried after the OB seemed just cautiously optimistic and then told me about the SCH and wanting to keep an eye on it. The nausea has hit the last few days, plus acid reflux all day long, and lack of wanting to eat anything.  I did have a dream yesterday during my nap about a cheese bear claw from a grocery store where we used to live but we don't have any here and i woke up sad :p I also agreed to make lasagna to bring to Thanksgiving like a week ago and now I cannot tolerate even the idea of a red sauce, so that should be fun!

Rants/Raves: I really hate first trimester and hope this time I get a healthy baby at the end of it all
rave - my hubby has definitely complained less and been kinder about how cruddy i'm feeling compared to my last 2 pregnancies and has been doing more one on one with the toddler on weekends when he can tell i'm not feeling well

Questions: How is everyone handling family get togethers this year for holidays if you have worry about COVID (no covid or vaccine debates please!)  I am vaccinated and so is our immediate family, and we were feeling okay about seeing them, but some have been attending other gatherings where I know not everyone is vaccinated - worried both about myself being pregnant (as well as my 3 year old who can't be vaccinated)

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? a cute coat and scarf
  • @tuxielove93 I am so sorry to hear about your family's lack of support. Have they never had the flu? Being sick is horrible. I hope you feel better soon.

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+, round 3 for us

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: definitely finding out, trying to talk myself out of ordering the sneak peak

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a black peppercorn

Upcoming appointments: 12/17, I’ll be 9w2d that was the soonest they could get me in once I hit the 8w mark

How are you feeling?: overall ok, my boobs are next level painful. I do not remember them hurting like this with my other 2. Nausea has been coming and going. I am insanely bloated also, I’m a fluffy person as it is so it’s not like it’ll be overly obvious for a little while but they weren’t lying when they said 3rd pregnancy hits hard lol. I am always thankful for symptoms though so I will take them

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? I bought an oversized shacket thing and I am currently obsessed, it is so warm and snuggly! I also live on the southern east coast so it doesn’t get super cold here. Oh

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/26 or 4w6d

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Just ordered Sneak Peek so I'll know in a few short weeks! Hopefully it's right.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: apple seed

Upcoming appointments: ultrasound and nurse visit is scheduled for 12/17

How are you feeling?: good so far, hoping nausea doesn't set in. We will see lol

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? gloves. I hate having cold hands/ fingers.

  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/11, 7 weeks today!

    FTM/STM/STM+: 3rd time mama

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: still up on the air

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: a blueberry!

Upcoming appointments: not until 12/22, which is 11 weeks. Trying to get it r/s a little sooner but clinic is so busy

How are you feeling?: More bloated and cramps around 4-5 pm frequently. I need to snack more and drink more water.

Rants/Raves: excited to get together with family again for Thanksgiving

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? A fluffy warm stocking cap

@tuxielove93 I'm sorry your family wasn't more understanding. Hopefully you start to feel better soon

@runnergirl2018 the covid and family stuff over the holidays is so tough. It helps me some knowing my family is vaccinated (even if they are around others who aren't) as their ability to get it or spread it is lower. And hopefully no one is coming to get togethers sick. Our one extended family get together everyone there (aunts, uncles, cousins) are all vaccinated and my grandma has gotten her booster. I hope everyone stays healthy ❤️
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 5w6d  EDD: 7/19

    FTM/STM/STM+: STM+

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Finding out.  Husband would like a boy, I'll be happy either way, but if I'm being honest with myself, a girl would be easy since I've got lots of girl clothes already.  We have a SneakPeek test so as soon as I hit 9 weeks, I'll do it.  Though at this point, I'm just hopeful for a healthy ultrasound.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I'm right on the edge of switching weeks, so probably more the size of a jelly belly (hopefully) than the size of a letter bead.

Upcoming appointments: It was supposed to be 12/1 but they had to move to 12/3.

How are you feeling?: Exhausted yet I don't sleep well at night.  I've started having the congestion at night (I've had that in all my pregnancies), some sore boobs, and had really bad nausea yesterday.

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory?  Either warm boots or warm socks.  I'm not sure there's anything more I hataaattte than cold feet.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days:
    7/30
    4 wks 2 days

    FTM/STM/STM+: fifth time mom

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: definitely finding out!!!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: the baby is so tiny :)

Upcoming appointments: haven’t made one yet but will try to squeeze the confirmation in before Xmas.

How are you feeling?: I still can’t believe it’s real. I just took another test to make sure the line was still there (and it certainly was).

Rants/Raves: I’m busy at work and tired.  I’m also already struggling with how to tell people because I worry that no one will be happy for us or care that much since it’s our fifth kid. Oh well!

    Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: finding out

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Appleseed

Upcoming appointments: I get blood work for confirmation of pregnancy next Tuesday then my first appt and ultrasound in 3 weeks

How are you feeling?: pretty good and enjoying it while it lasts. I do have some nipple sensitivity while nursing my son but so far it’s bearable

    Rants/Raves:

Questions: What do you all eat for breakfast? I need to eat first thing or I start feeling weird, but I need something quick and nothing ever sounds good

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? Boots!

    @jellie603@laeberge3 @stardustskies Due date quadruplets 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️
  • @melanier26 yayy! Love that there are a couple of us who (so far) have the same date, helps remind me of what is going on haha! For breakfast I've been eating a whole grain English muffin with peanut butter (and sometimes banana). Not much sounds good lately but that doesn't seem to get old. I also buy the dark chocolate almond Kashi granola bars so sometimes I'll have that instead.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 6+2

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM, previous loss

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team Finding Out!! For sure! I am such a planner

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Metal earring back

Upcoming appointments: First appt/US on 12/13. Can't wait!

How are you feeling?: Surprisingly good. I thought I was going to be a mess of nerves after our loss, but really I am ok. I think probably more concerning is that I don't want to talk about it and am making no plans. I am more prepared to advocate for a D+C this time than I am to hear good news. The good thing is that I was spotting during my last pregnancy at 6w and 7w although it was brown blood. It was constant for two weeks. They told me that didn't mean anything necessarily but it's so much more relaxing to go to the bathroom and NOT see blood every time! I am hopeful that it's a good sign. Also my boobs are gigantic. Other than that, really no symptoms. Trying not to read into that too much.

Rants/Raves: Teeny rant but we are at my in-laws and they are so nice but their house is SO HOT. SO hot. It's making me feel a little sick from all the forced heat. And the food options are a little limited. Not a lot to snack on during the day, so my husband went to the store so I could get a few things that are easy and quick. I've noticed if I go too long without eating I get really nauseous and it's hard to bounce back. Not sure if that counts as morning sickness but just seems like low blood sugar really gets to me.

Questions: Anyone else having a hard time drinking water? I've carried a Hydroflask for years and always sipping, but recently it's been hard to get enough water down. Even being in this hot house! Need to make it more palatable.

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory?: Puffy vests!! I detest bundling up and stepping into stores/places where the heat is cranked to 100 and immediately feeling over bundled. A vest is such a great way to step up a smaller layer to keep my core warm but allow a little fresh are too.
  • Estimated Due Date/Weeks + Days: 7/23

    FTM/STM/STM+: FTM

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Definitely finding out

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: Appleseed

Upcoming appointments: Scheduled my first appointment today for 12/6!

How are you feeling?: Pretty good. Still bloated and feeling ravenous a lot more frequently than normal.

Rants/Raves: Really struggling with when to tell people! I want to shout from the rooftops sometimes, then others I want to be close to the chest in case something happens. Have only told my husband, sister, and a close friend so far, and kind of want to tell people in person, so Thanksgiving and Christmas are the best options there. Seeing the in laws for Thanksgiving, so will likely announce to them, but I'm still nervous about it!

Questions: What should I expect from my first appointment? I foolishly didn't ask and they didn't say!

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? A scarf for sure. Cold wind snaking down my neck? No thanks!
  • @bekas54626560 I know that the first appointment with my first two and also what the new doctor told me to expect they will do a dating ultrasound transvaginally, I am pretty sure they will do some blood work. With my first two they also had us meet with the insurance financial person(not sure what they are called) to go over insurance, what they cover and what to expect over the course of the pregnancy. We made payments monthly which was really nice instead of getting one big bill and I expect we will have that happen again.

@quelinda99 oh man I would not do well in the heat! Also to your question about water, I have always been a big water drinker and bring my *emotional support water bottle* with me everywhere but drinking it does make me a little queasy. No idea why but I feel your pain.
  • Q for the group - is there not a lot of conversation this week with the holiday or are people feeling too overwhelmed by everyone being in 1 check in thread to keep up? Just trying to gauge if we should split the check ins by due date soon

@jellie603 I say take whatever you can that's approved by your doctor

@laeberge3 I feel like we get the short end of the stick (sometimes!) having early pregnancy during the holidays because it can be hard to hide!

@cmhme sorry to hear about the progesterone! Will you be off that soon anyway?

@tuxielove93 sorry about your family focusing so much on your weight!

@runnergirl2018 I think at this point there's no point in worrying about others being around unvaccinated people. If you are only around vaccinated people your risk is quite low. It really only becomes a concern if you have direct contact with a covid positive person.

@bearsandbeets7 what in the world is shacket? Or is that a typo? lol

@stardustskies cold hands (and feet!) are the worst!

@sunshineandlemons but then on the flip side it's so warm in your socks and boots that your feet are all sweaty when you take them out  :'( I have yet to figure out how to get that to stop happening

@melanier26 I've gone the handfuls of cereal route when I need something quick

@quelinda99 I hate water on it's own and pretty much only drink it with Mio added to it

Team Green/Pink/Blue/Finding Out: Team finding out for sure!

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: I was confused earlier by TB's fact that baby is the size of the post of an earring because that's like... 16 gauge. DH informed me it was likely talking about the height/length of the post

Upcoming appointments: had my ultrasound appointment today (everything looks great!), I will have the initial pregnancy consult next week Thursday along with another growth ultrasound with more ultrasounds weekly until I'm 12 weeks.

How are you feeling?: Feeling really good. Really relieved that baby is on track. My relationship with food right now is weird. Like I just don't feel like eating sometimes and I can't tell if it's a lingering thing with covid or pregnacy

Rants/Raves: baby measuring on track is a total rave! So happy about that. Rant - I really don't want to go to work tomorrow. Tonight I also have a meeting with the high school robotics team. Haven't been in over 2 weeks due to a business trip and then being in covid quarantine so I'm back to being bummed that I'm losing 3 hours of my evening today.

Questions: Curious which wives tales you guys think are actually pretty accurate. I'm only asking because the HB was 120 and I know the wives tale says that's more likely to be a boy and that's totally what team DH is on so we're excited about that prospect. Does it matter how far along you are?

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? I am ALL about the beanie hats! Scarves and gloves/mittens are a close second.

  • @jellie603 Oh wow. That’s hard. Is there any way you could skip the trip this year? Blame it on covid or something?

@cmhme I’m sorry about your reaction to the progesterone. That’s weird that it’s just now happening. Do you know how much longer you’ll have to take it for?

@tuxielove93 I’m sorry your family hasn’t been supportive of your weight loss. That has to be so hard. I’m sure they just can’t relate. But that’s not an excuse for not showing concern. I hope you’re able to keep eating some more and gain some of the weight back soon. Big hugs.

@runnergirl2018 I think if you’re vaccinated and so are the people in your family you’re planning on seeing then I think you should be fine. But honestly the recommendations change so much, it’s hard to keep track of.

@bekas54626560 For the first appointment they usually just have you do an intake with the nurse. But all clinics are different. You may actually be seeing your OB. You could always call back and ask.

@inthewoods23 I think we’re still pretty small and getting to know each other. We could keep the 1 check in thread for another week or 2 imo. But I’m open to changing whenever. As far as old wives tales, the only one I trust is the heartburn one. If you have a ton of heartburn then your baby will come out with a lot of hair. That was definitely true for DS lol. The early heartbeat being an indicator did not hold true for us. DS was in the upper 170 for a while before dropping back down.

Upcoming appointments: I just had my repeat blood draw today. HCG is at 794. That gives a doubling time of 46.7 hours. I was hoping for a little higher but this is perfectly normal, so I need to just chill. First ultrasound will be around 7w, so week of Dec 13th. I still need to get that scheduled with the RE. Then we will have a nurse intake with my OB on Dec 13th as well. My first appointment with the OB wont be until Jan 11th (her soonest opening!). I’m still in shock at how far out she’s booked. It’s insane. I wonder if there’s going to be a baby boom soon.

How are you feeling?: I’m feeling ok. I did have some slight nausea for about 10 minutes today. It wasn’t too intense and I was able to eat something to make it pass. Hopefully it continues (which feels weird to say) and provides me reassurance that I am indeed KU lol.

Rants/Raves: I’m having suck a hard time concentrating at work. I could really use the distraction right now while we wait in-between appointments. But this week is short, so that will help.

I want to tell my mom about the pregnancy, but both my grandma’s live at my parents house. So I know it’s going to be hard to find time away from them to tell her. Last time with my son we just told her over the phone because I was having anxiety about it. This time I wanted it to be a little more special for her. So… I don’t know when I’m going to do it yet.

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? I hate the cold. So I need all of the traditional gear. I try to remind myself every winter of this saying (it helps me not hate the winter as much), “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.”

  • @inthewoods23 lol no it’s not a typo, it’s a new thing I guess, a shirt and jacket combined, normally plaid but it’s super cozy!
  • @inthewoods23 Not sure about the heartbeat thing but the Chinese gender prediction chart was right for both of my boys 🤷🏼‍♀️
  • edited November 2021
@inthewoods23 the earring one confused me too. I didn’t think about the length of the post. 🤦‍♀️

As for old wives tales, I believe that when you crave sweets you’re having a girl and savory things, you’re having a boy. With my first two, I could not get enough fruit and sweet things and they turned out to be girls, so it must be true! 🤷‍♀️😆 Also, I’m some kind of anomaly and Chinese gender predictor was wrong for me both times. This time it says girl and since it’s been wrong the last two babies, maybe this one will be wrong too (only hoping that for my husband).

@bearsandbeets7 I can’t stand the word shacket. Kinda like how moist bother some people, I just can’t do shacket. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Lol! They are cute and look warm so I would totally wear one.

Interesting Baby Fact/Baby is the size of: A peanut today! Thought that was pretty cute!
Upcoming appointments: December 8th (i.e. FOREVER away)
How are you feeling?: Pretty crappy. The nausea is awful and I have to force myself to eat because food in general disgusts me. I'm also tired, achy, cranky, and just not a fun person to be around.
Rants/Raves: My 3 y.o. son has been quarantined since last Monday so I've had a buddy while working. It's been a lot. We're both pretty sick of seeing one another 24/7 lol
Questions: Totally rhetorical, but why is it that I crave deli meat when I can't have it? Seriously frustrating.
GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? Blankets. I'm sure the answer is supposed to be scarves or mittens or such, but I just want to be inside in front of the fire covered in blankets.

  • @melanier26 @sunshineandlemons ok so weirdly TB says boy based on the Chinese gender prediction but baby center said girl?? They asked me to enter different info.

TB asks for the month you conceive and your age. Baby center asks for your due date and age.

  • @binxybaby blanket… good one!!!
  • @jellie603 I take Zoloft and have been since 6 weeks post-partum with my son. My OB wasn't worried at all about it and I figure zoloft has been around a long time.

@tuxielove93 Apparently if you lose 7% or more of your body weight, you qualify for a HG diagnosis, even if you aren't vomiting much. Might be worth it to get some meds if you're interested in some.

@quelinda99 I've been doing a lot of lemon water lately. Seems to help with the nausea a bit too.

@inthewoods23 None of the old wives tales really. I mostly think they're fun. I heard one where you take two chairs and put a towel on each one. Someone hides a fork under one towel and a spoon under the other. Then, you choose which to sit on. If you sit on the fork, it's a boy. If it's the spoon, girl. Completely silly, but why not!

@inthewoods23 No old wives tale can hold up to real statistics. It’s only a 50/50 shot, so half the time it’ll be right nearly by default…. But they aren’t actually accurate 😊 They are fun though! In my other bumps we’ve done an entire thread of “old wives tales” for giggles to see if any of them pan out. With how early these sneak peeks and NIPT tests are, maybe we should do that soon? I’m happy to set it up again if anyone is interested

ETA: @ binxybaby Im so dang sick I can’t really not eat what actually sounds good. I was stuck on deli ham for a minute. So I microwaved it to steaming. That’s the CDC rec if you “do” have deli meat . That’s good to know about HG! I thought it had to be excessive vomiting which I don’t actually have thank god. Mostly extreme food aversions which is making it very difficult to eat and drink

  • As for old wives tales, I believe that when you crave sweets you’re having a girl and savory things, you’re having a boy.
I craved tangy (Italian dressing, banana peppers) with my first and salty with my second and have 2 boys so I believe that!
  • @inthewoods23 - personally I feel like I cannot keep up with everyone's post here haha! There are way more people that in the TTGP group and we had a daily there. I end up feeling bad that I cannot tag everyone because I inevitably end up forgetting some in the middle. For old wives tales - it is hit or miss. I had a really "smooth" pregnancy in that I didn't feel nauseous or throw up at all and only had heartburn towards the end (both boy wives tales) and did have a boy.

@LJMoon6 We actually have this huge (and really fun and awesome) whole-company conference/trip that we haven't had in years....and it is scheduled for my due date week. So I am already missing that. Because of that, I do want to go on this mini trip - I have a huge FOMO haha.

@binxybaby is Zoloft helpful for like "panic attack" situations? Or is it more of a maint. drug? I feel like my therapist said Ativan was the way to go because it was like almost an immediate response.

Upcoming appointments: Still waiting for a referral...frustrated with the process up here. I live in an area where there is a huge doctor shortage and waitlists for OBs and midwives so hopefully I can get in somewhere soon.

How are you feeling?:  OK - we've been isolating for covid exposure - tests came back negative this morning so yay! But it has been a long week.

Rants/Raves: Rant - being in a covid hotspot right now is causing extra anxiety for me! Can't wait for vaccines to be approved for under 5 so my son can be protected. Rave - I am feeling pretty good so I am happy about that!

    Questions:

GTKY: what's your favorite cold weather accessory? Mittens, for sure! Hate having cold hands, and I live in the Northern part of my Canadian province so the cold is REAL up here!
  • Estimated due date/ weeks- July 14/ 7 weeks <3

    FTM/STM/STM+- First timer.

Team finding out. I’m on the fence about whether I want a girl or a boy. Leaning towards girl, I think.

Interesting baby fact- tiny human is developing 100+ brain cells a minute. I read somewhere (no idea if it’s true) that an increase in fish oil is directly correlated to an increase in IQ. So I’ve upped my fish oil in take a little. Nothing drastic.

Upcoming appts- dec 14. It’s a bit later that I wanted but it was first available that DH could also go to.

How are you feeling- :-( I’m sick in the morning. Then bloat a ton if I eat. I’m tired all the time. But I’ve started having nightmares. Last night I dreamed we lost our house and couldn’t take care of Tiny Human.

Rants- the grocery store rant out of pie crust so no pumpkin pie!!

Question- no one judge me! I’m told the placenta is almost ready to take over supplying Tiny Human with nutrients so it doesn’t need its yolk sac much longer. I’ve also read that umbilical cord is almost developed. This suggests to me that Tiny Hunan isn’t getting nutrients from me yet- which has to be wrong, right? If it’s not, and he/she is just getting nutrients from the yolk sac, why are there so many rules on what we can consume in early pregnancy? (To be clear, I’m still following them, it just got me wondering).

Favorite cold weather accessory- warm socks.
  • @tsh-2021 pie crust is actually really easy to make if you feel like going for it! And very few ingredients

  • Well, we survived Thanksgiving with both sides of our family without spilling the beans. With both families there was at least 1 opportunity where we could have mentioned being pregnant. DH is now a little more on board with gifting them an announcement for Christmas when I'll be just past 11 weeks because what do you know, it is hard to keep a secret lol. As long as everything continues to look good I think we might do it. Then I don't have to hide feeling like garbage in the morning and in the hours before bedtime.

  • @inthewoods23 It was definitely hard to not tell my husband's family when we saw them at Thanksgiving! Our plan is to tell both our families around Christmas. I'll also be about 11 weeks. Feels close enough to 12 weeks to feel comfortable! And I want to make sure we can tell our families in person, and around the same time. So the holidays are the opportunity since we have to travel to see my family. Very excited to finally tell everyone! Only my hubby, mom, one close friend, and my therapist know at this point!
