Hello! I’m new to the group, due January 23rd 2022. Just wondering if a winter car seat cover is needed like the one in the picture attached? We live in an area that gets pretty cold in the winter. Thanks!
I say a definite yes. Also helps with germ exposure in the dr’s office or wherever you may be. Blankets blow off outside, but these stay put! Too bad I got rid of mine and had to get a new one 😆
I would also vote yes. As a reminder, coats in carseats are a no-no! I made a cover when I was pregnant with my son that zips up and has elastic on the bottom to hold snuggly around the carrier, that I saved for this baby.
Definitely get one! As others have mentioned, you shouldn’t put a baby in a car seat with a coat on-the bulk makes the safety harness not as tight as it should be. With a newborn in the middle of winter, and dr appointments, etc, having to take them out and put a coat on is a huge hassle. Thanks for the reminder-we need to get one ourselves. My first was born when it was starting to get nice, so by the time we needed this she was already old enough that it wasn’t so complicated to get a coat on her when we arrived somewhere, but the cover is definitely a lot easier!
