R/R: rant-it’s Monday rave-got my butt out of bed at 530am to get a workout in even though my bed was warm and cozy and I didn’t want to get up

CS/Q: Nothing to show yet, but damn my follicular phase was short last month, idk if I’ve ever had that short of a cycle. I guess that’s not really a question though haha

  • @kopp5988 way to go getting up and out of bed to workout! I wish I had some kind of motivation or accountability when it comes to working out, so I’m always so impressed with you ladies getting up early to run or workout!

R/R: meh. It’s started snowing this weekend and I’m already over it. It’s going to be a long winter. I had so many things I wanted to get done this weekend but instead I napped and we cooked together for the game yesterday. Whatever. There’s always today. I have a follow up with my gi doctor tomorrow that I’m pretty nervous about and have strongly considered canceling, but I need to go.

CS/Q: I didn’t temp once because of drinking and had to discard a temp because I was up all night. So.

  • @kopp5988 Way to go getting out of bed early and working out! I hope I can channel some of your motivation today!
@paytonpedro It's been really cold here but no snow yet thankfully! I am just not ready for that just yet!

R/R: Rant in spoiler - someone else's PG announcement

My cousin and her husband announced their pregnancy this weekend, along with their gender reveal. They have been trying for a long time and she MC last year so I truly am happy for them, I just couldn't help but feel al bit gutted when I was getting BFNs each day and then hearing more about her each day. My family is a lot, so Friday night was all about how she is pregnant and would be doing the reveal on Sunday, Saturday was the bump pic and congrats texts, then Sunday was the reveal complete with pictures and videos. I finally asked my mom to stop sharing and explained why and she thankfully was immediately responsive and changed the subject.
Rant 2- The stupid storm on Friday knocked our power out again, so we had to go back to my parents for the night. Not only that, but it blew our patio table right through our fence post and broke that as well.

Rave - So as to try to turn around my sadness/negative-ness from this weekend I have a few things that I am happy about. Not really a true rave, but you get the point. Tomorrow I am going to be in sunny FL at my happy place. On this trip I am going to be able to drink all the drinks and ride all the rides with no worries. DH was actually equally as upset as I was with the BFNs, so I think that getting him to try to hit the timing just right will not be as much of a struggle this cycle. Also, FW starts pretty much right when I get back, so we have that on our side as well.

  • @kopp5988 Great job getting up to workout! I did not and now I regret that I still need to do it later.
@paytonpedro Haha, I commented about snow too! None where I live quite yet though.
@tessiesmom26 Ugh, that would be a lot of sharing even if you didn't have your own stuff going on. I'm glad your mom respected your wishes when you brought it up. Glad you have your trip to look forward to!

R/R: Well, my high hopes from good timing were punctured over the weekend when AF showed even a day earlier than expected. Oh well, better that then having to wait if it wasn’t going to work I suppose. We had a nice time visiting my parents this weekend and even got to see a little snow! I don’t want any snow where I live yet, but it was nice to have some for a weekend visit, haha.

CS/Q: I have some variation in cycle length (25-28 days), but trend toward the shorter side usually. I get a little leery when I start having 25 day cycles that it may be too short, but is the LP length the more important factor? I know the answer is probably that there is a wide span of normal and I am just looking for problems where none exist.

  • @kopp5988 I wish I had that kind of motivation for my workouts lol though I'm please to share that my friend and I have been working out together recently and it's made it a lot more fun and easier to stick to.

@paytonpedro I've never lived in the snow, but it seems everyone who does doesn't love it. lol the longest I've been in the snow was a 3 day trip back in high school. I loved it, and it seems so dreamy, but then I hear about the shoveling and the driving and I'm not so sure anymore haha

@tessiesmom26 Ahh, I'm so sorry. That's always so hard. (PG announcement story from work in spoiler)

Shortly after I started back at my job after losing my daughter, someone announced that their wife was pregnant with their third baby in one of our meetings...pretty much everyone I work with knows about me losing my daughter, of course, so that was a gut punch, and felt super unnecessary. Needless to say, that was a rough moment and for the meantime I'm being allowed to skip those meetings ever since that one. But I mean, come on, can people just be a little gentler with their announcements??

Glad you'll have a bit of time away. That sounds really nice!

R/R: I had a nice, long four day weekend, but we were busy every single day (it was nice, but also exhausting lol). I didn't sleep well last night, so when my alarm went off this morning I just wanted to cry lol

CS/Q: My chart still seems to be looking a little better than last month, so that's good. But I'm definitely not consistent with timing lol
  • @abjm0325 I'm sorry about AF over the weekend. Glad you had a good time visiting with family!
@annanbby I'm so sorry that happened to you! What a sh*tty thing for your coworker to do. I don't know why people think work is an appropriate place to do that.

  • @annanbby ugh sleep deprivation is no fun. hopefully you can have an early night tonight!

@abjm0325 sorry for AF! We got some snow here as well, and it was wonderful! Sadly it didn't stick.

@tessiesmom26 that sounds like a nice trip! I also understand struggles getting DH to DTD. He's informed me he doesn't want to know when I'm fertile because he prefers spontaneity. The problem is convincing him to DTD when the timing is right. Hopefully YH is more open to it now.

@kopp5988 yay for getting that work out in today!

@paytonpedro I wish temping wasn't so challenging. There are so many factors that impact temps... drinking, not enough sleep, sleeping in late, waking up early, etc... I don't know how people consistently temp.

R/R: Rave: I had a really good date night with DH this past Friday. I wish we had more opportunities like that.

Rant/Rave: After 3 months working at my new job I FINALLY figured out the local tax situation. Payroll wasn't deducting it at first, and then when I questioned the amount, took several pay periods to respond. I'm glad it is done, but this has been exhausting lol.

CS/Q: I got a high temperature this morning, so I'm probably moving over to TWW if I get another one tomorrow. Just waiting to confirm it was O.

  • @annanbby Busy weekends are so exhausting! Hope you get to relax a little tonight.
@darkrose88 Yay for a good date night! Did you all do anything special?
  • @tessiesmom26 it’s still too warm for it to really stick or accumulate, but it was sticking to the lawn and roofs for a good half day before the sun came out!
I’m so sorry you’re dealing with that but I’m glad you were able to talk to your mom and tell her that it’s bothering you and your situation. That’s invaluable, coming from someone who has a very tumultuous with her own mother.  These storms you’re getting sound horrible! Can you remind me what region of the US you’re in? I couldn’t imagine! I hope you get some much needed R&R in sunny FL!! Hopefully it brings down your stress level and rejuvenates you for your fw after! That’s really great timing!!

@abjm0325 I’m sorry for af coming early, but it’s good that you had a nice visit with your parents. Boo to snow haha. It’s gotta be nice visiting it but in everyday life, meh, I could do without lol. To answer your question, lp length is what’s important.

@annanbby so here’s my thing with the snow. I hate it. It’s pretty and all but it’s cold and annoying. But, I will take snow and blizzards over other storms that are in the US. I feel like a snow storm is easy compared to hurricanes, wild fires, tornadoes, etc. So, I’m going to keep complaining but don’t have any plans in the near future to do anything about it. Lol.
Yay for a 4 day weekend and getting stuff done, hopefully you can get some sleep tonight and Tuesday is easier on you!

@darkrose88 I have had absolutely perfect charts and then ones like this cycle that should have a mountain range names after them. I feel like even with inconsistency, I still get the general picture I need.
Date nights are the best and so necessary! What did you end up doing? So glad you had a great one and I hope you can do it more!!
  • @abjm0325 & @paytonpedro we went to a steakhouse for dinner. Unfortunately we didn't have time to do anything else but it was still great getting out on a date.

@paytonpedro I agree I get a lot of value out of temping but I don't think I've ever had a perfect chart. I'm actually really impressed you have!
