So it’s actually COLD here… and when I say cold(I’m in the south) I mean it’s like 53° this morning. DD just REFUSES to wear leggings underneath the uniform dresses I bought her for school. She’s worn the dresses with leggings under every other dang year but suddenly, noooo. Their school uniform is just khaki bottoms and a colored polo shirt. She did wear a long sleeve uniform shirt and a hoodie but she told me she didn’t want me to buy her any pants bc she wouldn’t wear them, so I bought her these plain khaki uniform dresses that she could wear leggings under. And now she refuses to wear those. She put on her skort like it’s still summer and marched out the door. 😡😡😡 She told me she could just keep wearing the skorts and put leggings on under those or just wear her soccer socks pulled up really high to cover her legs… I tried to explain to her that you don’t really wear leggings under a skort… a SKIRT, maybe. And soccer socks to school is a no. I’m just irrationally pissed bc I bought 5 of the dang dresses💰💰and suddenly either she’s too old for a uniform dress or it’s just not “cool”… idk. 🙄🙄
@MrsLaLaBug - I'm also in the South, and it was 45° this morning! It was rainy and cold over the past few days, with a needed respite yesterday. But the cold has caused my bad right hip to stiffen up, and now I can't walk around without a limp. I spent much of the weekend on the heating pad.

@MrsLaLaBug I swear I don't think kids mind being cold. DD kicks her blanket off every night, meanwhile I'm in long johns and blankets and freezing all night (until the night sweats kick in, obviously).
My BF is that I'm WFH today and our house still smells like cooked broccoli and brussels from yesterday. It's revolting. I almost dry heaved coming home from trick or treating last night. 🤢 Maybe I'll open up a couple of windows to air out the house before it gets too hot.
@pajamstagrams I'm having the same experience. Every time I walk out of our bedroom into the living room, I smell ketchup. I have no idea why, because I despise ketchup. I had to open the storm door yesterday just to air it out for a minute.
@MrsLaLaBug ah, the south. When you have your heater on in the morning and AC by the afternoon. We haven't turned on our house heat yet, but that dual HVAC mode is probably coming on soon 😂 excited for that first burnt dust smell of the season.
We are like half south (kentucky) and it was 42 this morning when I left the house for a doctor’s appointment. It’s even more shocking after being in south Florida for a week where it was almost 90 and super humid every day!
My BF is that DD has an ear infection/ maybe a cold and was up coughing all night. DH didn’t sleep well till like 3, and I don’t feel like I slept more than 30 min straight after 3 from being hot, cold, the cat climbing on me, worrying about DD, etc. I am so not ready to be back at work today and wish I could drink like 5 cups of coffee.
I’m in the north but my office always feels like it’s in the Arctic regardless of season so I always have layers on. my BF is no other than my DH. My DD is attached to me so I am the one who mostly entertains her. He watched her when I laid down to rest ( to which he asked why are you so tired all the time when I told him what I was going to do) and then he complains he is tired from watching our child all day (it was not even 2 hours)
I’m in the south too and it was 43 when we woke up today, and almost 70 now so this weather needs to get it together lol. my BF goes out to DH for no other reason than the fact that he did the project we were planning on him doing today. (How dare he). We’re planting trees between our back fence and the road behind us for some screening and DH went and picked up the trees this AM, unloaded them, and got half of them planted. But I changed my mind around 9:30 and would have rather he helped me clean the house. Dude really needs to work on his mind reading 😆 I have no idea why it’s bugged me so much today I’m just irrationally irritated d
Another Monday BF is that DH locked his keys in his car at Home Depot during an inexplicable trip during lunch, so I had to drive 30 min 1 way to go drop off our spare set. I feel like it would be a HUGE deal if I were the one who locked them in and he had to come to me haha.
On the plus side, the trees near that Home Depot were much more vibrant than they are by our house, so the drive was at least pretty.
@b_1029 so much yes! If i do that it’s a “you need to be more careful”….until my car died and i need to use his car. To find out he loved it. And took his keys on a work trip halfway around the world. And didn’t know where the spare was.

i was on PTO last week and came back today to a dumpster fire. I wanted to go back on PTO.
