Not exactly a babymoon but we are turning it into one. Our anniversary is the first week of Dec and we will be finally taking a delayed mini-honeymoon trip to Asheville, NC. We’re calling it our babymoon too.
DD's daycare is closed the week between Christmas and New Years, so I'm wanting to do something then. We need to find something within driving distance since flights are nuts. It probably won't be much of a babymoon either since we will need to take DD haha.
We’re flying to San Diego the first week of January and have an AirBnb right next to Mission Beach. I’m sure a babymoon with a toddler will be a bit stressful but I’m excited to go for walks along the beach and introduce DS to the ocean.
We went to London in Jan 2020 when I was pregnant with DS. The trip was planned before we got pregnant and considering the world shut down soon afterwards, I’m really happy we had that last international hurrah. DH and I are both avid travelers so we’re hopeful we’ll get these babies some passport stamps someday.
@rachelredhead San Diego is actually where I'm thinking we will go! It is an 11 hour drive, so not ideal at all but doable. If I can find reasonable flights then I'll book them though.
London sounds lovely and lucky timing to get a big trip in.
We are considering taking DD on a short trip right after Christmas. There is a "dude ranch" of sorts just a couple hours from us. They have tons of activities and events- horse rides, sleigh rides, snow tubing, and so much more. It would be our last trip as a family of 3, and I think she would have so much fun! Gotta go book it before I forget again!
@rachelredhead I loved San Diego when I went 10 years ago! So much fun! @night_nurse I hear so many great things about Asheville! @luckyduck42 a dude ranch sounds pretty awesome to me!
We took our final family overnight trip with DS to the Berkshires this past weekend. More relaxing than doing lots of activities which was nice. We are planning on doing a parents-only babymoon first weekend of December in the Shenandoah Valley area in VA. Didn't want to risk flying, and it's over a little 4 hours of driving which isn't too bad since we're only doing a weekend.
@jennifer_m21 👋 from not too far from the Berkshires! 🥰 What a fantastic time of year to go there! Must have been beautiful!
DH and I are planning a babymoon in early February to the resort and city where we got married in Portsmouth/New Castle NH. I am imagining a cozy, wintery stay with massages, a few lovely dinners out, and some quiet, quality time together by the fireplace in the hotel room. Hopefully the planning will all come together!
I'd love to stay with DD in a local hotel for a night or 2. But..I also hate the idea of being away from DS, and we can't have seggsy time anyway so...😅
Maybe if DS passess his egg Challenge at the end of Jan, we can plan a family staycation for our birthdays early Feb! (DH and I are 1 week apart). With all his allergies, it's just way too stressful to try to be away from home.
We are having a date night the night after thanksgiving, going to see a musical. Dinner, then brunch the next am. It’ll only be our second night without DS. December well have another night with a holiday party and a night in a hotel after that. So with having these two things happening I’m not sure if we’ll plan anything more. It would be nice to have a weekend away to some local hot springs (but am kind of unsure about that while being pregnant). That trip can either be with DH or with my best friend because she wants to go as well 🤣

I randomly booked a very short trip to Vegas with my sisters for the day after Thanksgiving. Just for one night haha. That is all you need in Vegas.
