I’m 8 weeks today. I have a small bleed (not actively bleeding, just a pocket of blood) where the embryo attached to my uterus. They found it at week 6 and I went back to get it checked yesterday and it’s just barely a little bit bigger (still pretty small).
I’ve been on pelvic rest and no exercise for 2 weeks, but now doctor wants me to continue this for the next 4 weeks since the bleed didn’t reabsorb. I’m a little worried. The doctor said it’s good that the bleed didn’t get a lot bigger and that the baby’s heartbeat is healthy, but it’s still worrisome.
Has anyone else had this for more than a couple weeks? Did your doctor recommend bed rest or anything else? Thanks in advance.
I’m wondering if it’s twins. It’s probably not, but it feels…off. Not the same as my last pregnancy, and I know every pregnancy is different but yeah. I tested at 3 weeks 3 days and got a STRONG positive and did a digital and got a positive before the time was up. And I can’t stop eating. So maybe? But no?
Something similar with a bleed happened with my best friend where they even thought she was miscarrying. But she went in to confirm the miscarriage and the heartbeat was going strong! Now that baby is 18 months old!
@owiden I have no advice but sorry you are going through that. @fluteling I have heard from many people that had twins they knew when they were pregnant so you never know you could be right.
I am having major exhaustion today. I got the covid booster yesterday and it is adding a whole new level to my pregnancy exhaustion. Hoping it passes quickly.
@fluteling. No with my first i ran fevers and had horrible body aches. This one I am just tired. I think if I wasn't pregnant on top of it I would be fine. My husband got his also and he had no symptoms with the first shots but is running fever and has horrible chills with this one so it seems like it is just a toss up.
@ournextadventure which vaccines did you get each time? I had Pfizer for my first round and felt pretty crappy the day after my second one. I don’t think I’d be able to handle it on top of already feeling like junk! DH got J&J for his first and didn’t seem to feel as yucky as I did.
I’m having a hard time passing gas. Having regular bathroom visits but the gas is getting to me. Today I started feeling some cramping but I think it’s mainly from the lack of farting. Been working on eating more broccoli this last week or so. Officially 6 weeks today. I get more blood work done tomorrow and a follow up for this issue.
I’m having major insomnia. It’s 2:17 am and I’ve been awake for an hour now. My legs are super restless and I can’t seem to fall asleep for at least an hour every night. Apparently it’s a common first trimester thing but I’d like my sleep please. Anyone else wide awake?

I’m not having insomnia but my kids have had me up a million times tonight and I’m about to have a break down I’m so tired. I don’t know how I’m going to function with work tomorrow.
just dropping a line to remind everyone it’s okay to pop your toddler in the car to sleep when they are fighting naps. You can get yourself Starbucks too. Even if you look like a slob. Drive thrus are a blessing and so is a good car nap. Time for this mama to shower.
@KFrob I got J&J my first time as that is the only one offered to me at the time. I chose moderna this time. I slept 12 hours last night but feel much better today.
Taking a bath to get some peace. My husband is watching our oldest and our youngest went to bed about 30 minutes ago! The first hour I’m so happy they are asleep but I know in 30 more minutes I’ll be missing our littlest babe!
Oh yup morning sickness is not fun. @.@ Slept from 7pm to 1am and woke up nauseous and with a broken phone (death by puppy teeth!!), and now still nauseous and can't sleep.
Got my "Yup, you're preggo" appointment done today, first sono in 2 weeks. I dunno, even thinking about this pregnancy feels like putting the cart before the horse before that sonogram and actual due date.
@owiden27 is your bleeding an SCH? Several moms from previous BMBs had those and mentioned pelvic rest + no exercise and they all reabsorbed eventually!
@yooleeah I do but it comes and goes which is making me wonder if it’s muscle related. I have a tilted uterus and my doctor told me that could be why. I’ve always had bad menstrual cramps focused in my back way more so than the front. I never understood when people said the front hurt haha.
My favorite cereal is now discontinued. Cereal has consistently been my top pregnancy food because I can eat without feeling awful. MIL, husband, and my mom are on the search for as many boxes as we can get at this point. Noooooooooo.

Sent off my blood for the peekaboo gender test. We should know the sex of the baby by mid week🥴 I’m a super impatient person so being able to know as soon as possible is great but I’m sort of not looking forward to having my bubble popped if this baby isn’t a girl.
I threw up this morning. Last time I didn’t throw up until 15 weeks, just had severe nausea forever. It’s almost more annoying not to throw up because you hope that throwing up will at least make you feel better. But I also took a 3 hour nap today. This pregnancy is kicking my tush. If it’s not twins then my body is just not coping. Oof.
@fluteling this pregnancy is way different than my first. I’m chalking it up to not being as young as I was when I had my first & the fact that I now have a medical condition. However, out loud I am blaming my partners genetics😂
Due beginning of June and this baby is a true miracle we’re told we would have to have IUI’s to get pregnant than naturally conceived. I threw up twice today and have felt exhausted this whole pregnancy. I have a 3 1/2 year old and with COVID this pregnancy makes me feel so worried about everything. Love coming to the forum and reading everyone’s post makes me feel like I’m not alone. Will hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time this Tuesday and I’m very nervous, COVID has made me such an anxious person have to remind myself to breathe and enjoy the ride.
On Saturday I felt really gross all day with nausea and really bad indigestion then yesterday I only got a little nauseous, but didn't feel like eating much during the day, so of course I'm freaking out that I didn't feel like complete garbage. I have to keep reminding myself there are going to be ups and downs with it. And I still have a billion other symptoms. I'm ready to get past the mind F of first trimester symptoms.
@scostel2 Speical K Chocolate Delight. Luckily MIL has secured three boxes and my mom should have some.
@marionberry19 Ooh! I can't decide if I want to try peekaboo or sneak peak for fun. There's a lot of male DNA to contaminate in this house but I'm kind of curious anyway.
@bww_0331 you sanitize everything ahead of time so I don’t think there’s much a chance of contamination if you do it correctly. However, I’m so much team girl that if it comes back as male I don’t think I’ll believe it 😂
I’m feeling so much anxiety about this pregnancy and about having two kids now. My LO is 19 MO and I just feel like there’s going to be so much. I don’t know. I feel more anxious about two than I did before this one. Last pregnancy I was so relaxed. This one I’m a stress case. Also, I think I have some nerves about the first prenatal appointment. Just hoping for another healthy happy baby and not too much stress. :0 anyone have advice for 2nd pregnancies?
I’m getting ready to leave for my first appointment & feel like I’m going to pass out. I have so much anxiety about them saying something is wrong and I’m all alone out of town.
@owiden27 I had bleeding my entire pregnancy with my now four year old son. He was born full term and perfectly healthy. He has a speech delay but it’s unrelated and he’s growing out of it. He’s really ahead in other areas.
@cheraec i am having that same feeling. For some reason the second pregnancy is stressing more than my first. Leading up to my ultrasound i was a nervous wreck. I still feel like my stress levels are higher than they were with my first. I have no advice just wanted to say you aren't alone in the feeling.
