I couldn’t see if we had this thread yet, but I have a question
My periods have always been heavy but in the past year or so they have been really bad, including last month. For some reason this month it is….perfectly fine? What happened? Could it be the clomid? The progesterone? I did randomly take some Motrin because I was having cramping and decided to keep up with it, which Google tells me can make periods lighter but is it this significant? This is like a life changing difference so I’m just curious how to keep it this way!
@bows22 i can't answer your question but i can say that my periods have become mysteries to me as well in the past few years. some things that do seem to make them better for me include ibuprofen/motrin (although i don't really think they lighten the bleeding, just make them way less painful) and raspberry leaf tea (which, miraculously in my view, does seem to lighten flow a bit and knock the cramping way back). but if anything, i feel like progesterone makes my period worse. maybe your body feels differently?
History
I am doing this on my own. Left ovary and fallopian tube removed due to cyst/necrosis just after birth. Right ovary and tube still purport to function.

Nov. '19 attempted myomectomy (vaginal approach) failed. 2nd surgery using laparoscopic method in Jan '20 is successful.
April '20 --> June '20, natural IUIs, all BFN.
July? saline ultrasound and bubble test demonstrate open tube
July '20 clomid cycle cancelled for thin lining
Aug-Oct, 3 femara cycles, all BFN
RE referral. While waiting to set up an appointment Nov-Jan,I continue with natural cycles and ICI, using a known donor, BFN...
Jan '21 more bloodwork, AMH is worse (.30), FSH high albeit not catastrophic at 13.2. hysteroscopy all good. "looks cozy!" says the RE.
Feb '21, injectables (menopur, novarel), iui, BFN (doc said the frozen donor sperm sample had the "best numbers she'd ever seen!")
Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal. Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow. Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal. Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP. May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. @bows22 This is such a good question. I used to have super painful periods, physically debilitating with vomiting etc. They got better as I got older but I’d still have to pop several Aleve the first couple of days due to pain. Ever since starting the TTC vitamins and immune meds they are way less clotty (sorry, TMI) and almost no pain at all. I don’t even take Tylenol or any painkillers anymore for my periods. I hope you’ll also see a permanent improvement! It could be the Motrin. For me it’s either the daily baby aspirin or the low-dose prednisone or the vitamin E that thins the blood. Just grateful that something worked!
Would anyone like to take a stab at guessing whether or not O did occur on Saturday? That positive OPK happened late morning. The night before and early that morning were definitely negative so this positive isn't from the tail end of the surge.

@inthewoods23 bbt would make me think Thursday, but opk & bbt would make me think Saturday. Is there any other reason for that temp drop Thursday?
anyone want to interpret my chart? I don’t know where I belong 🙈 I discarded yesterday’s temp because I was drinking Saturday night and my temp is usually higher the day before. I’ll post with it there and after discarded. Surely I just have to wait and see?
@paytonpedro yeah when I got that big spike I wondered if I had completely missed my surge but I was using up OPKs nearly every time I used the bathroom to be sure I didn't miss it like I have the last 2 cycles. It may have been colder in the room that night, but I can't remember at this point.
I have no thoughts on your chart other than it kind of looks like mine when you discard the high temp lol. Your Monday temp really isn't any higher than your other WTO temps. *shrug*

@inthewoods23 probably because my own chart is such a hysterical disaster this cycle, i'm all about raising questions regarding the reliability of bbt in telling us what day we ovulated. I've been hunting around looking for an article that I often seen quoted on this topic (but sadly I can't find it right now). Anyway the gist of it is that only a minority of women actually see a clear relationship between ultrasound-confirmed ovulation and bbt rise within a 24 hour period. For some women, the bbt rise can start as much as a day before ovulation. For other women, bbt will take as long as 72 hours to rise after O. The same article says that cervical mucus changes and detection of LH surge are just as reliable/more reliable. Anyway, I'd be tempted to say O was late Friday, early Saturday?
also @paytonpedro yr chart is pretty ambiguous, it's true. I'm still willing to lay $5 down that you O'd on saturday.
