How far along??

I went to go an intervaginal ultrasound on the 19th of this month. They said I was about 5 weeks along. But they also said it could be 4 weeks, and that they wouldn’t know for sure until about 8 weeks. This has me anxious because there’s a paternity issue. If I’m 5 weeks, it would have to be baby daddy number one. If I’m 4 weeks, it could be baby daddy number two. I’m trying to not stress myself out but it’s tough.
During the ultrasound there was a gestational sac. Google doesn’t help much with this, as some articles say you won’t see the sac until 4 and a half weeks, others say 4 weeks, and others say 5 weeks minimum. Any moms on here got an ultrasound at 4 weeks pregnant? And was there a sac??

    If your doctor said they cannot tell yet then the reason is that pregnancy is not a one size fits all and neither is fetal development. And even if they do the dating ultrasound the baby very well may just be measuring behind. This sounds like you will need a DNA test to know for sure since it’s only a week difference.
