Are you guys gonna let us complain?

In summer when AZ is 115+? Stick out tongue

I know, I know, it's nowhere near as bad as being too cold, which I can't stand. Sorry you ladies are housebound in the frost. But there will come a day in Aug or Sep where an AZ Nestie posts to complain about how frickin' HOT it is, how we can't take our kids in the car without burning their skin on the seatbelt, can't go outside for more than 2mins, etc.

Re: Are you guys gonna let us complain?

  • I could not stand living somewhere that it can get to 115 degrees. I'll take a few days of of -40 windchills over that. IMO its pretty much the same thing. Dangerous temps.

  • I'm not a fan of extreme temps in either direction!

  • I would much rather be too cold.  I can put more clothes on or turn up the heat.  I can't sit around the yard naked.
  • I'm with you NWC.  I hate summers in TX and 100+ degree heat.  It's insufferable.

  • Oh you can complain but I love AZ in the summer.  We used to go every summer (July and August for a month or so at a time).  My DH works for GM and we used to go so he could do some heat testing (Mesa) and it had to be 105 to even start the tests.  Many times it was 115 and over and I LOVED it.  The other day he asked why we live in Michigan.  I told him it is because we were born and raised here and we are creatures of habit!  lol
  • hopefulmom - you guys need to move here! Get on it!

You know, I actually don't mind the AZ summer that much. But it got harder to tolerate once I had a toddler I was dying to do stuff outdoors with. I hate having to do everything inside. There's usually at least one day towards the end that I've had enough, but overall, I don't mind it. Like I said, I would WAY rather be too hot than too cold.
