How are you feeling? Back pain is no bueno. I think I must have a pinched nerve that won't go away. I've never been to a chiropractor but maybe it's time!

Rants/Raves? Rave: Going on our roadtrip honey/babymoon to California. Just chilling! Excited for it!

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? Yes, I love Halloween. Probably won't do anything this year. Just recycle a past costume if it fits (pirate). SS is going to be Sonic the Hedgehog which he suggested as a baby name for baby boy

How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty good. I have some lower back/hip pain, but usually from overdoing it.

Rants/Raves? We had perfect weather for a visit to the pumpkin patch this weekend, and I managed to get the house and car cleaned out yesterday.

Questions? What is everyone doing for hip/back pain? I've got a brace thing, but it really isn't helping much once the pain starts. It's of course on my left side, so sleeping has been a tad tricky.

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? We like Halloween, and DS1 loves Halloween. I'm dressing up this year because the costume made me laugh. I will be the pregnant lady wandering the streets with my PJ Mask children dressed as an avocado.

@lexilougolden I think Sonic would be a great name for the baby lol. California sounds like fun! What all are you planning to do while you're there?

How are you feeling? Overall okay. Sore hips and back at night (thank god for my monstrous, U-shaped pillow!), winded often, etc.

Rants/Raves? Just thrilled at how much I like my OB! I hadn't ever had an office visit with her before (last pregnancy I had a doctor in my small town, then saw a midwife at the hospital I'd deliver at; this OB did my version and c-section last pregnancy, and I opted to go straight to her this time around). Other rave: I love how much this kid is jumping around inside me! DS1 didn't move/kick/punch nearly as much.

My rant is that I'm spending my entire day off today giving feedback on students' rough drafts for college essays, and it's taking so long! lol.

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? I love Halloween. I put out a decent number of (indoor) decorations for it, but I tend to like the "cute" Halloween stuff and less of the gore/true scare stuff. Whole family is dressing up this year. DS1 (who is almost 2) will be an elephant, I'll wear normal clothes (I think) and put a felt peanut over my belly, DH will be a ringmaster, and our dog will be a clown, lol.

How are you feeling? Good - just chugging along. Definitely noticeably pregnant now.

Rants/Raves? Met my OB last week. I like her - easy going so that’s good. My sister had her baby this morning so that’s exciting - makes me a bit more excited - still so long to go!

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? I’m not a Halloween fan, never liked dressing up even as a kid, but DH is and it seems that Parker is really going to be. Parks is going to be a skeleton this year. We just decorated the inside of the house.

@makingbacon - I’ve been getting back pain but same as you, usually when I’ve over done it. I just have to lay down for a bit - one night took some Tylenol and I’m needing to wear good shoes. I’m def feeling it more & sooner this time at late 30’s than last time in my early 30’s.

@makingbacon we did a pumpkin patch over the weekend too. The weather was beautiful, it wasn't over crowded, and everything was awesome- except for our one year old was not impressed at ALL and was full of screaming fits with every single transition. I'm happy you guys had a good time LOL! We may try it again in like 3 years. 😂

@ninrms I love the circus theme for Halloween that you guys are going with! I bet it will be adorable!

@JWatt5 Congrats on the new niece or nephew!

And for me- I know, I'm weird, LOL, but I like to chime in on Wednesdays since that's my weekly change date! Makes me feel like I'm making progress!

How are you feeling? Pretty good actually! We walked around outside a lot this weekend and my hips and back were pretty sore by the end of the day so I might start wearing a support band on my more active days. Otherwise can't complain.

Rants/Raves? Brought my foster cats back to the shelter to be spayed and adopted this morning which is kind of sad but I am so glad to have my office back. Sharing a small room with two cats, a litter box, and a bowl full of wet food was not always that pleasant - especially with my pregnancy nose.

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? I was never that into it, but now that Samson is old enough to kind of get it I'm really excited! I love that it's a "holiday" that's just about fun - no travelling to family, no cooking and cleaning a big dinner, no presents, just lots of candy! We're going to a neighborhood Halloween party for toddlers where he's going to dress up as David Rose. For Trick or Treating Samson is going to be Tigger, I'm going to be Winnie the Pooh, and my husband is going to be Christopher Robin.

How are you feeling? Good! This pregnancy has been pretty easy on me so far. By this time last time I had a lot of sj joint pain, but I’m good so far!

Rants/Raves? I’m still working on getting DS to stay in his own bed. And it’s sad, and frustrating. Sad because I’m having to have my baby “grow up” and frustrating because my husband just does not think it’s a big deal that he comes to our bed still, and I just don’t feel like I have alot of support and help with it from his end.

Anyway, my rave is that I started pulling out some of ds baby stuff and washing what clothes I do have so I can start going through them, so I feel like I’ve had some progress there! I also washed the swing cover yesterday. It feels surreal!

I do like Halloween! Before having kids we didn’t do much, just visit a haunted house or two. But we enjoy bringing him to trick or treat and we do a yearly get together with my best friend and her family. We do usually dress up, but we keep it low key for the adults. I think this year ds is going to be darth Vader. He’s obsessed with Star Wars right now. And I’ll try to find something cute/pregnancy related.

I’ll be back for tags. I have to bring my stinky pup to the vet this morning!

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? Halloween has grown on me in adulthood, really all of autumn has now that I'm in a place that has seasons. This year MH and I are going as 70s Vision and Wanda from WandaVision because, you know, pregnant. It was them or Juno and Bleeker.

@modoodles hahaha I feel you, with the monday start date for check ins, I usually wait until Tuesdays (between my LMP date and my O-based date) for the same reason.

How are you feeling? Insomnia has been insane this week, but still feeling good overall. Definitely feeling lots of little baby movements this week. ❤

Rants/Raves? Rave: This is my midterm week and I'm currently carrying all As forngrades, sonim pretty excited about that one! Rant: One of my daycare kiddos (3 YO) has pinworms so now I'm FTFO about that one. They are supposed to give me a call today after talking with their doctor but I'll definitely be calling mine as well anyway. 🤢

GTKY: Do you like Halloween? Will you dress up? If you have any other children, what are they dressing up as? I love Halloween. For Halloween this year we aren't going out or doing anything other than trick or treating so I will probably just wear my typical ToT outfit of black skirt, black shirt, orange and black striped tights, black short boots, and a witch hat. When the kids were younger we always did a group theme costume, and I typically made their costumes. The past fee years they have been at their dad's for Halloween so he got their costumes and did TOT with them. I was SO excited because it was finally my turn for Halloween with them and 2 weeks ago I asked my 9 YO what he wanted to be for Halloween this year and he said, "oh dad already got me a minecraft costume at walmart." So I have no idea. I was so disappointed about it. I've sent my husband a couple of costume ideas for 1 YO but he hasn't given me an opinion. We probably need to get this figured out today so we can order or I can start making it.

@kaf1788 I totally get wanting your office back, but I really liked your foster cats lol. They were so cute.

@JWatt5 I definitely feel more aches and pains this go around, and I can't decide if it's because I'm older or if I'm just more worn out after chasing the boys and attempting to do all of my regular stuff. I did tell DH that he needs to help more with cleaning the house on the weekends we don't have the cleaning lady come because it's becoming too much for me already.

@modoodles We've had excursions like that with the screaming fits, and we had the same reaction as you lol. DS2 is a pretty good sport, other than the car ride, so as long as we keep him full of snacks, he's usually pretty good for us. The car ride is always the interesting part because both boys hate the car, and DS2 really lets us know how much he dislikes it.

@jwatt5 aww I bet the baby fever is real with your sister having hers! It feels like a while but because of the holidays it will fly!

@kaf1788 I love cats, but I feel you on the smell. I have a friend who used to foster and I totally would if it weren’t for having young kids and litter boxes! I didn’t like Halloween much before having kids either, but the last few years have been so fun!

@chgilmore love your costume idea! We loved wandavision! And the pup is good! He was just having his yearly vaccine check up!

@modoodles oh no! Pinworms! That’s a big fear with toddler aged kiddos! 🤢 and I love how adults always have a go to outfit. Mine has been a cat or witch for forever! Have fun this year:)

@chgilmore - A table runner & some cute drapes that are like a lace spider web print, faux pumpkins, a few Halloween theme books and Parker loves those jelly window sticky things lol. All collected from the Dollar Store over the years.

@makingbacon - yah trying to still do it all with a toddler definitely makes a difference too! Job is more mental work.

@photographerwife - for sure - I saw her this morning. She was sooo tiny but weighs more than Parker did at birth. Do not remember him that small. She was exhausted - “did he sleep at all the first few nights!?!” She thought she was doing something wrong but nope - that’s a newborn.

@watt5 poor thing! Those first few months are rough, it’s weird though how our bodies just go into survival mode. I remember being so tired but my body just somehow adapted to it. I was sorting through ds baby clothes yesterday and the newborn sizes are so tiny! I swear the legs are like 4 inches long. 😂

Rants/Raves? vacation was fun. Annoyed it ended the way it did. I’m contemplating calling out Monday to recoup but I probably won’t.

We do a family costume yearly. We take turns picking the theme. Hubs told DS that he can opt out this year. So he’s being a video game character. We’re doing zoo animals. I’m a kangaroo. Brielle is a leopard. Jesse will be guy riding a penguins shoulders 🤷🏻‍♀️
