Hi everyone! I’m about to have my 2nd FET after my first FET failed in June this year and wanted to see if there is anyone having their FET around the same time. A little back story about me: My husband and I started IVF in April 2021 due to bilateral blocked Fallopian tubes with hydrosalpinx. My doctor suggested we try our first transfer without removing my Fallopian tubes since we had 5 normal embryos. After that transfer failed, I had both of my Fallopian tubes removed and a hysteroscopy where the removed a couple tiny polyps. And now finally, we have our FET scheduled for October 1. Although km so excited, after a failed transfer I can’t help but over analyze everything and worry this may not work again.
@zwink1 Is next week when you get your calendar? I always felt better when I got mine, so I could know the transfer date and could start counting down the days
@romeoandjuliet146, I already have an outline of a tracking sheet, but yes, next week is when I should get the actual calendar depending on cycle start date. I agree, having that timeline in place definitely makes you feel better.
@zwink1 yay on getting close to your FET!! I am about to go in for my suppression check ultrasound and then Estrace followed by POI and more progesterone, lol. They have my transfer scheduled tentatively for 10/20. Do you know when your transfer will be? I'm so excited and anxious at the same time!
@ferndeezy, exciting! No, I don't have a transfer day scheduled yet. They consider my official cycle start date 10/1, the last day of my BC prep pills. My schedule is then determined by CD1, or by day 5 after stopping the BC, whichever comes first, so I should have a tentative transfer date when I call in to let them know about CD1. Then I go in for my baseline and start Estrace and eventually PIO after that.
@krisssm welcome! And yes… definitely know how you feel. After having a failed transfer it’s scary going in again. With each transfer I get more and more nervous!!
Got my second beta today and it came back 730. It didn’t double but it went up an good amount. I can’t help but over analyze these numbers bc with DD my numbers were so much higher and tripled by the second beta. Nurse says it’s rising appropriately but I need to go back in on Friday for a third beta. Ughhh I can’t handle the stress! Anyone else ever have numbers not double in two days?
@slim000 I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed that your numbers keep going up! My transfer is the day after tomorrow and I feel like I’m over analyzing everything! My lining has been consistently 8mm up until my last monitoring appointment yesterday it was 6mm. It really has me worried. My doctor and nurse assured me that this is normal after starting progesterone for the lining to thin a little bit. I still can’t help but stress! Anyone else have something similar happen???
@bender29@slim000@romeoandjuliet146@skyee87@zwink1 thank you so much for your kind words and support. @bender29, that is great news, perfect numbers, yay. @skyee87, awe you made me feel loved from far away. You are right, even though we are online buddies, the support we give to each other is special. @slim000, I hope you relax and not analyze it too much, you started off strong and solid. Did you transfer 1 or 2?
Well, my beta came back today and it was not what I was expecting. My RE pretty much left the decision up to me to continue meds and betas and see where this goes or to stop all meds and give up since I have the odds against me. 9/27 beta was 34 and today, 9/29 beta is 55. It did not double and its very low. I do not know what to do and will get back to them tomorrow.
@sabriana, I understand your confusion and it's totally your right to make the choice that you feel is best for you. Every situation is different, and you absolutely have to do what you're most comfortable with.
I am spoilering this because it's 100% anecdotal and your situation could be very different. That said, I felt very conflicted about continuing meds when my 2nd beta came back and I hadn't doubled (10 dp5dt I made it to 9), but I figured I had nothing to lose if I stuck it out. Given how things worked out, it's easy to say that I felt confident about my decision, but that isn't true. I really felt like it was an exercise in futility, but that I had to at least let things roll out until a definitive result was reached. You may feel differently and that's 100% okay. Only you know what's right for you. Whatever choice you make, it will be the right one. Long distance hugs to you.
@krisssm thank you! I actually never had my lining checked after I started progesterone so I’m not sure, but if your dr isn’t worried I wouldn’t be either! If they were concerned they would cancel it, I have heard of that happening before. So it’s good to hear they want to continue!
@sabriana I only transferred one, I’m going to try and relax as much as I can… and stay off google ☺️ I’m sorry to hear you have such a tough decision, but I can imagine having the “what if” always lingering would be hard. I wish you all the best on Friday and hoping we both get great news!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽
Beta #3 came back 1,381! HCG increased 90% ☺️ My clinic looks for anything over 60% so I’m very happy with this! Just waiting for my nurse to call (I peaked at my results early again) and praying I don’t have to go in for any more bloodwork! 🙏🏽
Hey, I am back! Sorry for the long absence but I was basically without internet for two weeks and am getting back up to speed.
The roller coaster of this process is really helped by knowing there are a lot of riders alongside you: -High fives to those of you who are ready to get off the ride already! -Best wishes to those getting on! -Hugs to those of you sitting in a hard place right now. -Prayers for patience for those of us just waiting in line! Hi All! I hope it's okay that I'm joining this thread. I've been away from this board for a while after trying my first FET and getting a BFN. Since then I've done 1 more ER (10 retrieved, 9 mature, 5 fertilized, 2 day-5 and PGT tested - both unaffected). I currently have an ERA scheduled for tomorrow (slightly nervous) and then anxiously awaiting my next FET.
@sabriana I'm so sorry to see your news, glad to hear you're doing okay. It's definitely all an emotional rollercoaster (hence why I left this board for a while).
@romeoandjuliet146 congratulations!! It's also great to see some success here already giving the rest of us some hope!
Hi everyone! I Hope it's not too late to join you all. I've been reading this thread for a few days now but have been so nervous to post (TW and history in spoiler regarding my nervousness). But I've been part of this wonderful community since 2014 and each time I go away and return, I'm reminded of how supportive this place is. I'm excited to see some BFPs here already! A little about me and my journey in spoiler
(TW and children mentioned)...
My husband and I were lucky to conceive our son via IVF in 2016 after rounds of chlomid and IUIs. We then tried for a sibling via another frozen transfer with no luck, had no embryos left and decided to switch RE's. We went through 2 more retrievals and were very fortunate to have success again and had a daughter in 2019. DH always wanted a large family and kept saying he wants 5 kids but that ain't happening as we're not getting any younger (and 2 kids are a handful as is) so we're trying for our 3rd and final baby now. I was very nervous to post and thinking I may get judged about even being here after having 2 kids already. We'll be very fortunate if this works for us again, but will also be happy and content with our 2 miracles if it does not.

@romeoandjuliet146 Thank you! I was so frazzled typing that out that I forgot to mention my FET. It was yesterday actually. I did a natural cycle with just letrozole and then a trigger last week. I'm now in the dreaded 2 week wait. Congratulations to you on your 3 strong betas!

AFM, nothing new here yet, unfortunately. Still waiting for CD1 to officially show. My wait ends tomorrow either way though (I call to schedule a baseline ultrasound on CD1 or 5 days after stopping the BC, whichever comes first). So, hopefully by tomorrow afternoon I'll have more of a timeline down for my FET!

As soon as my transfer was done, I started symptom spotting. It gets very stressful during the TWW. When is your beta test?
