1st Trimester

Counting weeks

I am told by internet this isn't typical and hard to do, but I know I got pregnant with my period. Do I still count the start of the period and skip the next 2 weeks?
Also what makes counting weeks complicated is, the internet told me that implantation can be anywhere from 6-14 days after, yet officially, you always start at the 3ed week, as if you don't see symptoms, which are usually easy to see.
Would a DR be a better choice to make all this too, or does someone know the answer on this Board. :).
Thanks

  • Doctors will go off of the first day of your last menstrual period.

You should call your doctor and explain your situation. When they think you’re 6-7 weeks (from the start date of your last menstrual period) they can get you in for a dating ultrasound and you’ll get your answer.
  • Ya Greyl, pregnancy is as confusing as math formulas hu?
