It's been brought up a handful of times lately...... I have never actually had a pumpkin spice latte.
How would you describe its taste? I always imagined it had a strong pumpkin flavor to it and I hate pumpkin pie so I've had no desire to try it.

@inthewoods23 I miss those days too!! What happened?!? As for the psl, my confession is idk if I’ve had one either. Surely I have but I prefer coffee. Starbucks does have some Kcups that are pumpkin spice and my favvvvvvv and I’d just say they taste spiced but I don’t actually taste pumpkin or pumpkin pie at all. Now I’m gonna have to get a psl so I can remember if I’ve had it/ like it or not.

Re: pumpkin spice latte: it tastes 🤢. I LOVE pumpkin pie, but the PSL does not taste like that at all to me (MH says it does). I’ve had several PSLs over the years and each time I swear it will be my last. Well, the last one I had last Fall sent me and MH straight to the bathroom. We were SO sick! Now I really think I won’t ever have one again.
P.S. This is coming from someone who hates Starbucks coffee—it tastes like burnt wood and gasoline to me, just way too strong. I get a decaf latte from them with 1/4 decaf and fill the rest with milk. Delish!
My FFFC (that I’ve probably confessed before) is that it bugs me when the unique daily threads get skipped, like yesterday’s Unpopular Opinion Thursday.
@keikilove MH says the same about Starbucks coffee! That the beans are over-roasted and taste burnt. We have Dunkin' coffee at home currently. His workplace has a local coffee brand that he says is really good - and he doesn't really like coffee.

I cannot stand pumpkin spice nor am I particularly enthralled with Fall as a season. However I don’t like when people are purposeful contrarians, especially against female coded things, so I typically keep this opinion to myself lol I struggle with participating in the unique dailies because I’m usually one of the last people on the board for the night. I could definitely try harder though.

My FFFC is that I only cook sweet things that will still be tasty if I only use brown sugar, because I never buy the white stuff. Basically brown sugar is always more tasty than white sugar and if a recipe calls for white sugar I just substitute brown sugar and hope for the best. This obviously doesn't work for some recipes, a problem I solve by never making those recipes.

Mar '21, injectables, iui cancelled due to lack of follicles, converted to at home-insem. BFN
May '21, first IVF round cancelled due to cyst.
July '21 IVF: standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 7; 6 days of stims. 8 eggs retrieved, 7 mature, 5 fertilize, 4 made it to blast. 3 are 4AB, 1 is 4BB. PGT-A results all abnormal. Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow. Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal. Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP. May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy. July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen. Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized. From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos! Ok I have a confession. Everybody at work thinks I’m a vegetarian, which was true when I started five years ago. But I now eat meat about once a week, usually sourced from the farmers market but not always. I don’t tell anyone at work this though because 1. I have had way too many experiences of non-vegetarians giving me a hard time for anything they perceive as hypocrisy and 2. if I’m going to eat meat it’s going to be of better quality than what is used at the usual lunch/catering places. I’m bougie and obnoxious about this, I know. And thus I just leave it at “I’m a vegetarian.”

Butttttt I did finally just fold it- now I have to put it away. Ugh. It was from our weeks of vacation and only being home for small amounts of time. @hgsurvivor the boards were booooooming back in 2016 and it was like a snarky Wild West. Ahhh the good old days. The boards were definitely busier in 2017/2018 but not quite as much as before. I’m shocked by how quite they are now. Like where is everyone and where does everyone go?

Oct '21 somewhat improved AMH (.51) and significantly improved FSH (8.9). Maybe it's all the pills I swallow.
Dec -21, standard antagonist. 225menupur/225gonal-f/cetrotide/5000u trigger, AFC 5; 11 days of stims. retrieval yields 5, 4M, 2 reach day-6 blast (4AB & 4BB). 1 low-level mosaic (chr. 3 deletion), 1 complex abnormal.
Feb '22 FET (low-level mosaic): CP.
May '22 egg retrieval, lupron flare protocol. HGH priming for 1 month before stims; md lupron 20/20u daily; menopur 225, follistim 225, 10k trigger after 8 days of stims; AFC 10; 13 retrieved; 10 mature; 8 fertilized. All frozen at 2PN for later thaw, grow, and biopsy.
July '22 egg retrieval same protocol: 9 days of stims; AFC 8; 10 retrieved, 8 mature, 4 fertilized and frozen.
Sept '22 ER same protocol: AFC 10; 12 retrieved, 11 mature, 11 fertilized.
From the 3 retrievals, 7 survived to day 5-6 blastocyst, from which I have 2 normal embryos!
Jan 20, Fully medicated FET, baby aspirin, dexamethasone, acupuncture, and as much woo as I can stand (which isn't very much). BFN.
July 23, Natural FET + baby aspirin. BFN.

@hgsurvivor the boards were booooooming back in 2016 and it was like a snarky Wild West. Ahhh the good old days. The boards were definitely busier in 2017/2018 but not quite as much as before. I’m shocked by how quite they are now. Like where is everyone and where does everyone go?
@pinkkillersheep totally hear you on the bougie meat lol. We only eat local meat as well… well like at home anyways. I regularly go days without eating meat but am by no means a vegetarian.
