Re: Weekend randoms 8/20-8/22

  • 😴 my 1 year old kept me up all night because he didn’t want to sleep. Of course I scheduled my early bloodwork for this morning. He’s typically an amazing sleeper. My oldest is the worst sleeper and has been since he was born lol he actually slept good last night.

  • @MusicalFamily My littles are the same. DD1 was the WORST sleeper but now is amazing, and DD2 slept perfectly from birth...of course because of summer they keep me up until at least 1:30am every night...but at least they have the decency to sleep until at least 10:30am every day. I'm going to have to start waking them up earlier though to get DD1 ready for the school year in a few weeks...plus I have a bunch of early appointments in September so that's going to be fun too...
  • @Panaceia yes, we definitely have to preparing for September when they go back to daycare and school. We need to be out of the house by 6:25 😭
also 🙏🏼 Our March babies are good sleepers!
  • Echoing 🙏 for good sleepers! Our son (13 months) has been an awesome overnight sleeper since was 4 months old (naps are decent but not quite so awesome). I feel like we’ve been spoiled by our great sleeper so one of my biggest anxieties is that baby two will just never ever sleep. 😂

Unrelated but I saw the May 2022 BMB opened. I like seeing new BMBs go up, it feels like a fun recognition that this pregnancy is progressing.
  • I am fully prepared for this baby to be a terrible sleeper...however, since baby will have to nap with both my girls in the house I'm sure he/she will learn to sleep through anything!
  • I have finished all my intake appointments for my OB. Now I have to wait two more weeks until my dating ultrasound and I am already so incredibly impatient 😫 I also ate my weight in bbq corn chips for lunch. And am mildly regretting it 😂
  • Ugh so we are going to get a direct hit from Hurricane Henri (Long Island). I’m incredibly nervous and we may travel to my sisters house 2 hours away. Got our bags packed. I’m mostly nervous because we have gigantic trees on our property.
  • @MusicalFamily good luck! Get out if you can. We are in central CT, and it looks like it is going to be a monster here, too. Our power company said they expect half of their customers to be without power for 5-10 days.

@MusicalFamily oh stay safe, and fx there is no major damage to your property!

@goldfishcraker sounds like a lovely date night to me!

@rachelredhead I was stoked to see the May board up. It is a weird pregnancy progression marker for me 😂.

AFM, we couldn't find a sitter for last night so we ended up taking DD to her first concert. She had a blast and was totally in her element dancing and just socializing. We ended up leaving a little early since because it started getting too cold for her and, well, toddlers at a concert after a certain time is just not good lol. I hope everyone's weekend is going well so far!
  • @luckyduck42 we are inland in CT as well right in the path of Henri. I saw that statistic for Eversource and couldn’t believe it 😣

@MusicalFamily hoping you and your family stay safe!!
  • My nausea has really ramped up the last couple days (after I told my doc I didn’t think I needed a prescription for an antiemetic…) so I took a whole unisom tonight so let’s see if I can function tomorrow 🥴 also will be asking for a script first thing on Monday.
    Hang in there my friends!
And stay safe, those in the path of Henri.
  • @nursejenn5 ugh, I’m sorry you’re in the pits. I’m there, too. The nausea has let up some (but still comes in waves, usually when I lay down). It’s the exhaustion that’s killing me. It’s 7pm and I’m in bed. I’ve been LIVING to put DS to bed and as soon as he was in his sleep sack I was crawling into bed. My husband is used to being abandoned at this point. Between the fitful sleep, insomnia, unisom, nighttime nausea, chasing a toddler, and generic 1st tri exhaustion, I’m borderline in tears by the time I go to bed. Whyyyyyy is 1st tri a million years long?
  • @rachelredhead I so hear you. And I’m sorry you’re here too. I was useless to my son this weekend and I felt so bad that I’m not lively and just wanting to play all the time. And I think DH has finally realized I’m not joking about feeling so crappy. Hoping the next million years of this trimester pass quicker. 🤞🏼
