Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Tuesday 8/17

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon, metformin for me, vit e and c for him

R/R: I have mixed feelings. I was able to call the RE yesterday and set up an initial consultation appointment for early November, which is when we'll hit a year of trying if we don't get lucky the next couple cycles. So on the one hand, I'm glad I called now so that we can get the ball rolling right at the one year mark if we need to, but on the other hand I feel weird because I didn't expect at the start of everything to be making an RE appointment when my birthday rolled around. I am glad, though, that we'll be able to jumpstart assistance if we need it, rather than hit the year and then have to wait another few months before being able to do anything.

CS/Q: too early, also I slept in a lot this week so my temps are all over the place.

  • @fantasyflyte hugs. It’s not easy to make that appointment. I remember last time around making an RE appointment and thinking I would never need to actually go bc I would totally get KU before the appointment. It sucks but honestly I felt so much better once we finally figured out what was going on and had a plan with the RE.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 9

    WAYDTGKU: OPK, CM

R/R: I decided to immediately go back to school for my BSN and am kind of dreading starting it next week. They already have two of the courses up online and it looks like a lot of work and I still have two more courses that aren’t even up yet. I was just getting used to having free time again 😩

    CS/Q: nope

  • @fantasyflyte Glad you were able to at least get it on the calendar. I’m sorry it’s so tough right now.

R/R: I’ve been struggling with anger and bitterness lately, especially related to work. I’ll put it in a spoiler since it’s really just me whining.

I selfishly would like pop culture and the media to stop talking about working from home. How can there possibly be anything left to say about it? People love it and don’t plan to go back in. I got it. The people who can’t do that are STRUGGLING. It was tough last year not knowing how to keep all our people safe. It’s tough this year because of the exodus of people from the workforce since they all want jobs where they can work from home too and yet we have to still hold everything together as if everything is perfectly fine. But it’s not. I’m just so tired of it. Ok, end of my hyper specific rant.

    CS/Q: Nope

  • @pinkkillersheep girl, I feel you. Working in healthcare I've constantly been right in the middle of everything and obviously can't work from home. Now everything is starting back up again and we're back to being short staffed due to sick calls or people leaving to travel and make more money. It is definitely a struggle so I totally get where you're coming from.
