Monday BF 8/16

My sinuses and lungs are testing me. I'm like, 90% over my cold, but I had terrible coughing out of nowhere at 3:30 this morning. Thankfully I fell asleep somehow, but I almost gave up. At least my kids slept in until 7! That's almost unheard of around here.Β

    @blackhottamales Thanks for asking! She evidently is super alert today! You can't really understand what she's saying, but it's a lot better than the past two days where she slept almost all day and was sort of responsive when someone would say her name. Cautiously optimistic, but it's looking like a feeding tube is becoming more likelyΒ  :(

    @Lisa3379, I hope you get some relief.Β  Colds are the worst.Β  I'm glad to hear that are some positive updates o your mom! Sending positive thoughts that it keeps heading in that direction.Β 

    For me - I have a canker sore on the underside of my tongue that is so annoying! It hurts like crazy and makes eating less than fun.Β  I think it's finally starting to heal (it's been almost a week) - fingers crossed! Also, our learning management platform went through an update after I got everything for my class set up - and it's so annoying.Β  That's what I get for being proactive and trying to have things done ahead of time. Sigh.Β

    My BF is that the 7-11 by me has been sold out of the sugar free slurpee flavor for two days! And I refuse to buy the regular ones bc I’m trying not to do too much sugar. Β So today I drove to 4 (yes-4!) other 7-11’s until I found one that had it. Β  It’s watermelon peach and has zero sugar and sooo good! Β So that’s what I did for an hour today 🀣. They better restock that flavor soon at the one by me. Β Β

    I got spicy nuggets from Wendy’s today and holy hell they were SPICY. I’ve had congestion all day from them. The lemonade I drank though was deeeeelish!

    We had such a great weekend- went to my aunt's birthday party, I got to swim in a warm lake, try SUP, go to our local farmers market with new friends, and play in the park- where my 19 mo daughter went down the bumpy big slide 🀯 and loved it.

    Then she woke up from her nap with a huge fever! So she stayed home from school today, I barely got any work done, and she still has a fever and now a cough- so we got her a covid test 🀞. Apparently this is going around the classroom, and the daycare even sent a note to all the teachers πŸ˜“. Poor girl- she was just so sad randomly today. Thank goodness for Tylenol.

    @magalina_h ugh canker sores are the worst. I get them frequently. I have a topical steroid that helps tremendously, but I try to use sparingly when pregnant.Β
