My son is one and because of Covid he has never had any professional photos. We were supposed to do an outdoor family session this weekend but the weather isn’t cooperating so we postponed until late September. My confession is that I’m thankful because I don’t feel like figuring out summer/humid outfit options and would much rather do a fall theme with the beginning of a bump. So, this session is about me, I guess, and not my sweet baby. 😂
Piggybacking on @rachelredhead, my son is 2.5, has never had any professional photos, and probably never will unless one day he buys them for himself. I usually prefer regular family photos anyway, and my husband had a bad experience with our wedding photographer and it would be a hell of a battle for me to convince him to do professional photos again. It just doesn't feel worth it to me to fight him on this. And professional photos can be so expensive, and I prefer the journalistic style, which can be even more expensive, and harder to find. So, probably not going to happen for us, and I'm ok with that.
We did newborn photos and 1 year photos for our daughter. I love them so much and am so glad we did them. We will also do 2 year photos. We haven't done family photos though. We do have to send out Christmas cards every year to DH's clients and it is always such a stress. I hate it so much.

On the photo theme, I never got to do newborn photos with DS because he was so sick. (He also never got to have a baby shower for that reason). So now I would feel guilty doing it for this baby. Which means I just get to feel cheated out of the whole experience entirely.
Another FFC: I am extremely non-confrontational. Yet I have been engaging in.... educational debates.....with strangers on social media. It's amusing for a while. But it's really become depressing. I need to stop. 🙈
