Weekly Randoms 8/2

I feel like this summer is just dragging. Once it hits September, I'll start getting really excited. Fall always just flies by for me, and then there are the holidays, and then BABY. I'm trying to just sit back and enjoy this pregnancy (it's most likely my last), but then I'm just soooo impatient. 

Along those impatient lines, I started sorting baby clothes today. It took 3 hours  :o Since I don't plan on having any more boys, I went through picking out the more unisex items/my favorite stuff and then bagged the rest for a friend that just had a boy. And now I'm doing laundry. I guess my life right now is purely revolving around clothes? Anyway, it's crazy to see all the stuff we've accumulated, and also funny to know that some of the clothes, which are hand-me-downs of hand-me-downs of hand-me-downs, are going to another baby. Like, I feel all economical and stuff, haha.

    This summer is flying by for me! It's bittersweet. Each day is closer to baby, but I'm also trying to soak in the freedoms of having a very independent 6 year old, and our last months being a family of 3. Next summer is going to be radically different for my son than what he's used to, so I'm trying to do all the fun things with him this summer while we can. I know once Nov hits, time is really going to fly!

    I go back to work in 2 weeks and I'm both ready and not. The routine will be nice for sure, but I've also gotten very used to our lazy morning (didn't even get out of bed today until 11am 😳).

    I hear you about summer flying! I can’t believe it’s August. I go back to the office next month (although I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if they delay the return). 

    I had my 16 week appointment today and everything was great, thank God. For some reason today it hit me that it’s really “real,” even though I did not have a sonogram. I’m really looking forward to the anatomy scan at the end of the month!

    i feel like summer is going too fast but maybe that’s because i’m a teacher and am dreading september! 😆 

    not much too bitch about other than they’re doing the floors in our classrooms so i had to go in early and get bulletins done and it just made me feel like summer is over, setting up my classroom. august is like the sunday for teachers haha ugh

    You're right - for teachers, summer is the best and it goes WAY too fast! It's been awhile for me, clearly   :D Although the beginning of the school year was always exciting for me, but yeah, August is one giant Sunday, hahaha!
