  • @kgg2241 With me they never tried with the doppler before 12 weeks. ALSO I know my symptoms tended to come in 1 week cycles...so terrible for about a week (give or take) then a day ot two of it not being too bad, then back to being horrible. Sometimes it would be like 4 days of feeling pretty good and then 2 weeks of feeling like dirt, buy it definitely always came in cycles! Hopefully you'll get that surprise ultrasound at your appointment!!!
  • Well like an idiot I just dug my doppler out of storage and of course couldn't find anything. Why do I do this to myself 😩.

    Weeks/EDD? 9w0d

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? 7w loss in April

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? I’m ok, I had a crazy day and showed up at a private US boutique yesterday. Little bean had a great heartbeat but was clocking in smaller which freaked me out a bit

    Any appointment updates? 8/20

    Any big milestones? Nope

    Rants/Raves/Questions? Not right now

@kgg2241 I did the same thing, couldn’t help myself

  • Step away from the dopplers!!!!! With DD1 they couldn't find the heartbeat consistently until like 16 weeks. With DD2 even my OB had trouble finding it sometimes and I was well past the 12 week mark too. Do not get stressed if you are not finding the heartbeat yet ❤
  • I am so glad I loaned my Doppler to a friend because I know I would succumb WAY TOO EARLY. It’s just too tempting.

  • Weeks/EDD?
    I'm 6+2 Edd: 3/23/21💗💙

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)?

I had a chemical in January 2020, took a year off from trying. Then, I got pregnant right away in January 2021, had a chemical at 5 weeks. We then had another chemical at 5 weeks 6 days in April of this year.
The fact that I'm at 6 weeks makes me cautiously optimistic! 🌈🌈🌈

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?

Emotionallly, I'm feeling really positive! A little back story: I was raised in a cult that I left 2 years ago.  I have a 7 year old dd 💗
who my husband is adopting! So, everything about this pregnancy is different. I'm the oldest of 5 but I'm estranged from them and they're still in the cult (and toxic af). I miss the celebration of pregnancy that I had with my first but being involved on here and other apps makes me feel connected.

Physically: nausea hit like a wave yesterday. I've been napping, eating and feeling moody...lol

    Any appointment updates?
I have an us on August 12th!! I'm sooo excited to see my baby bean.

    Any big milestones?
I hit 6 weeks! I haven't in 7 years so, I'm hoping baby is here to stay.

    Any nausea help? I'm hurting

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? mmc, cp, mmc

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically? emotionally, decent. Like @Panaceia, my symptoms are giving me hope. Even though i realize it's not a guarantee.

Any appointment updates? nothing till aug 9. Really hopeful for a heartbeat (obviously). I never saw a heartbeat with any of my losses and the one time we have seen one, we got a baby. Again, i know it doesn't put us in the clear, but i feel like it's a big step.

    Any big milestones? nah

Rants/Raves/Questions? My parents are visiting, yay! But i couldn't sleep last night and started getting annoyed at MH for breathing in my general direction. Normally when that happens, i go to the guest room and it's not a biggie. Welp, last night i went down to the couch and it was just unpleasant. So i'm struggling today and of course my coffee aversion kicked in so i'm not even caffeinated.
  • @pretzelmama28 Things that have helped me in the past for nausea:
Ice water with lemon in it sipped through a straw (I don't know why the straw is important but trust me, it is)
Cut up peeled ginger root and add to boiling water and sip throughout the day (ginger tea made me sick but this worked)
Peanut butter on crackers or toast
Just eating a slice of lemon
    Nectarines
    Cherries

Anything processed or with sugar would make me super sick, so one ingredient foods were always good too (likes mashed potatoes, and steamed veggies). I also find that eating something right before bed helps lessen the nausea when I first wake up. At least a bit...

I'll let you know if I find anything else. So far they are all working for me a bit this time around too.
  • Happy we are all still here another week!

    Weeks/EDD? 8+2 today!

Previous loss(es) (share as much or as little as you like)? MC in April of this year

How are you feeling? Emotionally & physically?
Doing much better after my appt this last week. I had worked myself up for the days leading up to it and was dreading it in a way. Huge sigh of relief after everything went well. Becoming more and more hopeful as the days pass without incident.

Any appointment updates? Next appt is 8/25 at 12 weeks. Not sure if I will get a NT scan or not at that time I know they’ll do a lot of bloodwork though. I am with a nee insurance provider and HMO based plan now so everything is done at a standard that’s decided for everyone across the board. Lots of pros and cons I am figuring out.

Any big milestones? None in the past week.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Found out that the closest hospital I can deliver at is 30miles away in the city. 45mins without traffic and 1.5hr+ during rush hour. We luckily only had to drive 5 mins with my first which worked out because I got to the hospital at 9.5cm. I keep telling myself it’s nothing to worry about until much closer to the day as I could end up with a scheduled c/s, induction, or any other number of scenarios.
  • @Panaceia thank you so much! I'm taking a grocery trip and I'll get what you suggest. I've been eating nuts and fruit but nothing has helped. I'll get the lemon and the straw 😉
  • @night_nurse

Whoa, we have very similar experiences it sounds like.
I was raised in a Pentecostal cult. My parents were military, and I think both have untreated mental illnesses.
I went to 22 different schools as my mom was obsessed with my body and fertility. *sigh* I'll have to write you the whole story soon, make a night out of it and grab some popcorn.

I didnt leave until 2 years ago when I was dealing with my own mental health things. My parents tried to kidnap my daughter AND harrassed CPS to try to get them to take my kid. It was a HOT mess and my siblings were all apart of it.

It was all the horrible things, definitely homophobic, misogynistic and just hypocritical to a sinister level.

I feel like I'm living an entire different life.🤗🌈
