Pest Control

Has anyone here has pest control done? I’m 6 weeks this week and we were wanting to get our house treated for ants. We tried all sorts of remedies and none have worked. The pest control says they only spray the outside and use baits on the inside. The company says it’s safe, but I wanted more insight if anyone else has any experience. Also going to ask my primary since I don’t have an OB yet. Thank you!

    Sorry no insight here. We only use coffee grounds and spray vinegar outside:/ I would ask the company for a list of ingredients in the spray they are using and run it by your doctor first. Also I'd probably try to stay away the say that they spray just in case, but I'm super paranoid about everything 😅

    So, I haven't done it this time around during pregnancy, but during my first pregnancy I was 36 weeks pregnant in winter, all of a sudden thousands of ants appeared in our kitchen. In speaking with the pest control company we had the base boards and other cracks of our older house sprayed and then the professional bait done. I stayed out of the house for a full 24 hours, which was longer then needed but made us feel better.

    Done multiple times while pregnant and stay in the house. If the chemicals were that harmful, I’m certain they would tell us to leave the home. I’m just not that concerned with it I guess.

    Had them come a few weeks ago (I was about 6 weeks) they apparently spray my ob’s office and pediatricians so I trusted it.

    I had it done during my last pregnancy. First we tried having them spray outside only, but It didn’t get rid of all the ants so we let them do inside a few days later but I just stayed out of the house for a few hours after they sprayed.
