    @kaf1788 that is fantastic!

    so I’m not posting in the food thread because it wasn’t really a craving or anything, but we had tacos for dinner tonight (I could literally eat tacos everyday for all eternity and be happy)

    but anyway, my husband made homemade guacamole and it was hands down the creamiest and most delicious guacamole I’ve ever had. He’s never made it that good before and I guarantee he’ll never be able to replicate. Oh well. I’m looking forward to some avacado toast for breakfast tomorrow and left over tacos for lunch 🤣
  • @kaf1788 that's gotta feel so good! I felt similarly when I finally got to check the box on those post-COVID vax surveys :)

    @angelz429 that sounds amazing omg
  • Today was busy. I am Le tired.
  • I can't help but laugh at what a scam the whole health insurance system is. When I was pregnant with my son my insurance straight up denied the NIPT so the lab called me and said I could just pay their "out of pocket" price of $300. This time around I have a different insurance and they actually cover the NIPT which is exciting! Until the billing department called with the estimate and said since I'm getting charged insurance prices yet but haven't hit my deductible I now have to pay $800  :|:|. I know I'm going to hit my deductible no matter what so it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things but it is just wild to me that the fact that my insurance actually covers the test this time means I pay almost 3 times more. Make it make sense!
  • @kaf1788 I hate insurance.
  • @kaf1788 I just had my NIPT done today, and they told me I can opt out of it going through insurance if my insurance ends up not covering it. My insurance isn’t great, so I’m anticipating just paying for it. So it might be worth a call to see if you can switch it to self pay.
  • @makingbacon I tried that and they were not receptive to it lol. In the long run it will still end up being "cheaper" even at the higher price because it's eating up like half of my deductible (which I will def hit no matter what) so it's just a matter of paying now vs paying later. But the price difference is so insane.
  • @kaf1788 I thought the price difference was crazy, too. They kept talking about the insurance cost, and I finally said “My sheet says $250.” They explained the price difference. I couldn’t figure out why it was so much more expensive, but they told me there would be a window of time to opt out and do self-pay. Very true on the deductible, but won’t you have to re-hit your deductible next year for delivery? All of my prenatal care is covered as preventative with my insurance plan, so I never know what other people’s insurance covers.
  • Last night was the first night ever our 3.5 yr old daughter decided to leave her bed in the middle of the night and come into our room. I feel like my life is over. Our dog has already been waking me every single night around 1 am to let her outside (no idea whats going on with her) and now I have to worry about the beast coming in when she wants to wake me  :s

  • @kaf1788 Oh no that makes me nervous! Our insurance said it was $700 and there's a third party program that they offer the NIPT for $299. I'm afraid that my insurance will be billed when this third party is offering a discount! I tried to make it clear with my office not to bill my insurance but I'm nervous this is all going to get messed up. @livingoffpbjs My SS is 7.5 and he gets up at least every other night and wakes up MH. "I was going to the bathroom and just thought that maybe you needed to too? Also, come sleep by me." lol. Good luck!
  • @JWatt5 I bought one of those push lights that stick to the wall and I put it by the toilet so she can see but shes just been a mess lately with bedtime, she didnt nap yesterday and was over stimulated so we gave her a melatonin because we couldnt deal with what we went through the night before. I think she wants to get up to pee now because Ive been giving her a treat in the morning if shes dry.

    @lexilougolden I wish she would wake my husband, he doesnt wake for anything! Also why I have to get up in the middle of the night to take care of his dog, and when we had our daughter, even though he wasnt working, he never got up in the middle of the night to help me with the babe. When I had to wake him because I went into labor he growled at me and yelled at me. He is the worst when he is sleeping lol
