WTF Wednesday 7/28

I'm going to send a big WTF to the guy at Starbucks that messed up my iced caramel macchiato ratio and forced me to add more espresso to my drink when I got home. I mean, whatever. I'm so not one to complain to people that serve me food... plus, I didn't notice until I really stirred it up. Oh well, at least I'm getting a bunch of calcium today with all this milk?

What's your WTF for today (or the week)?

Re: WTF Wednesday 7/28

  • Ooh, I haven't had a caramel macchiato in ages. That sounds delicious. Now I want one...

My WTF is me - I made a stupid mistake at work that could have easily been avoided and I've been beating myself up about it for two days. I'm also the type of person who lays in bed at night and just thinks of all the things they've done wrong, so yeah, it's been super fun.

  • @fifilala516. Oooohhhh that's so me, too. I've dwelled (dwelt?) over so many things, big and small, that I drive myself crazy over it sometimes. Here's a weird one: I still have guilt over the time I dropped an f-bomb on live radio. I think that was in 2003. Every once in awhile I think about it and feel so bad. The radio host still remembers it, evidently. I was listening to a program he was doing about Santa Barbara bands from back in the day and he introduced our song and band with a couple stories, and that was one of them. So much for me forgetting it too, I suppose.  :D

I have another WTF: I JUST learned how to use Apple Pay. I've never tried it because I felt like too much time had gone by that asking how to use it now would be super embarrassing. And then my card didn't work at Safeway today, but I still wasn't sure about what to do with Apple Pay, so I just used another card. I didn't want to hold up the line.
  • @fifilala516 I definitely dwell and overthink things like that too. I once did a brain break in my 4th grade classroom using a Harlem Shake YouTube video that I stupidly didn't prescreen. It had a guy in a fuzzy pink bunny suit that was shaking around a big fake penis attached to it. I turned it off as soon as I noticed it and there was another adult in the room so that helped. It's kind of hilarious to think about now, but I was mortified and so afraid I was going to get put on leave or fired over it. Luckily my boss was really nice about it and parents were extremely understanding. Some of my coworkers still give me shit for it though. 😂

My WTF is to my body (*TMI Warning*).
I've got a yeast infection and I am super uncomfortable. Luckily my OB yesterday said that I'm far enough along to take Diflucan, but it hasn't fully kicked in yet.

  • @magalina_h Oh man, that's so funny. I mean, I would dwell on that for the rest of my life, haha! I'm trying to think if I have any stories like that... I'm sure a similar thing has happened to me, showing students something and not expecting something weird to happen in the middle of it. Not sure it involved a penis, though  :D

Sorry to hear about the yeast infection. Those are the WORST. Hopefully the meds do their thing really soon.
  • @magalina_h That is hilarious but also mortifying! I totally get it. And yeast infections suuuuuuuck, so I hope you get relief soon!
