WTO Tuesday 7/27 — The Bump
Trying to Get Pregnant

WTO Tuesday 7/27

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW (trigger warning) and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Thanks for keeping this a safe place for us all to engage!**

    CD: 15

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, cinnamon, metformin for me, vit c and e for him

R/R: Officially back to the grind today, both of us back to work post-vacation. We had our doctor's appointment to discuss DH's SA results, I'll put it in a spoiler because rambling. TLDR: low morphology, trying for a few more months before interventions.

So my bloodwork was surprisingly pretty much ideal, which I didn't expect because PCOS. But the doctor is having me stay on the cinnamon and metformin, as we think it's doing a lot to regulate my ovulation.

As far as my husband, his morphology was 1% and total motility was 28% (24% progressive motile, 4% non-progressive motile, which I assume means just kind of breakdancing without going anywhere).

Since my stuff all looks good, and his is low but not holy-crap-bad-low, the plan is to have him start taking Vitamin C and Vitamin E daily, and for both of us to work really hard on losing weight/getting exercise/getting healthier. But we're going to continue trying because we (the doctor included) don't want to push it off given I turn 34 in a few weeks. (sidenote, I'm very glad the doctor is on the same page as us in that regard).

So we work on our health and keep trying for 3 more months, since that would put us at a year, and if we're not pregnant by then, she gave us a referral to bring to go straight to the RE's office that did the SA. She said they might have us do another SA in three months, or they might just have us go straight to IUI.

Overall, I just feel good that we have a plan in place. Having a concrete plan/goal always helps me out mentally.

CS/Q: my chart was SO PRETTY last month and now this month it's a mess with the missed temps and varied waking times lol.

  • @fantasyflyte sounds like a good plan!

    Month/Cycle: 9 AL

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, BBT, GF/DF diet, covid vaccine, CM, supplements

R/R: went to dinner with my friend yesterday. We officially are making this a recurring thing and actually put a future date on our calendars for dinner 😆. This dinner was originally supposed to happen when she came back from a vacation in early May. Her H is severely allergic to seafood which she loves so now we're just going to rotate around a bunch of seafood places so she can get her seafood kick every 6 weeks.

  • @fantasyflyte Glad you have a good plan and feel supported!

@inthewoods23 Love the idea of a recurring seafood dinner date. I'd be so sad if MH was allergic to seafood!

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 22

    WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks

R/R: I still don't really understand what my body is doing. OPKs seem to say I'm coasting along to AF now, though I guess I'll know for sure in 5 to 15 days or so. I'm just disappointed. I really wanted some reassurance. But it's fine, I'm trying to reframe these cycles as data for when I see the obgyn in September. Anyway, I'm not sure if I should be posting here or in TWW but I'll just stick with WTO since it kinda looks like that's not going to happen for me this time around.
