hahaha, Im terrible at wearing my ring, when we got married I told him I didnt want a wedding ring, jsut the engagement ring but now i want a wedding band to go with it (5 years later). Both my husband and I rarely put on our rings, we joke when we actually wear them we say "Hey look, Im married today", or if I only wear mine and he forgets I tell him we can pretend we are just engaged. My ring is beautiful Im just bad at remembering to put it on. Ill have to put it on tonight and take a pic.
@livingoffpbjs I hear you! I wear mine regularly, but dh never does. (He’s a welder) so we make the same joke! I’m going to clean mine and post a pic in a bit too!
It's a Montana sapphire (ethically sourced). With medium sapphires on the band that with each gem turns to a lighter shade of sapphire until it ends in diamonds. He picked it out all by himself and I love it!
AFM: originally we got married with a 20$ ring MH found at a thrift store (he was 25 and I was in college, definitely did the bare minimum here), but for our 1st wedding anniversary my mom gifted me with an heirloom diamond that she got from her mom, so I had that put into a solitaire tapered white gold setting that I paired with a thin (1/1.5mm) wedding band. it's very special. For our 7th dating anniversary, MH added a diamond wedding band to the set so everything is extra sparkly (will come back to post pictures when I get home, I don't often wear the main ring, just the bands most of the time)
Mine’s pretty simple - 1 karat Canadian diamond. Simple band. Definitely didn’t expect a ring so nice when he proposed. It was perfect, I’m not a one to wear jewellery at all.

@chgilmore I will soon! I’m just being lazy with the kiddo today. Currently watching new moon on Netflix! 😅 this whole series is like my comfort movie, so I’m loving that they’re streaming now!
I love seeing everyone’s rings! 😍 @jwatt5 love that! So classy!
@livingoffpbjs we never wear ours either. My husband actually lost his a few months after the wedding. Thankfully his was just a $20 ring we got online since he was already saying before the wedding he'd never wear it. I used to wear mine all the time, but then got out of the habit when I started teaching preschool and didn't want to constantly be cleaning paint and glue off of it.
@lexilougolden Mine's a Montana sapphire too! My husband really wanted to get a diamond, but I wanted a gemstone. He couldn't wrap his head around the idea that engagement rings could be something other than a diamond. One of our favorite vacations was to Montana, so I was able to make the argument that it had a more personal meaning than just a diamond. Plus I got a halo ring so that he could still have the diamonds in the engagement ring.
We got married at 19 and 21, so my original set was from Walmart, and made of silver, so we replaced it on our second anniversary with this! It used to be set with a morganite but we replaced the stone with a moissanite last year because it got chipped! I love it!
My ex husband picked out a really elaborate engagement ring and wedding band and although it was beautiful, I hated it. It wasn't my style at all but I never told him that.
My current husband took me ring shopping so I could pick out exactly what I wanted, and after trying on a few I just kept going back to a simple, classic solitaire. He proposed a couple of months after and I wear mine daily and still love it.
